twin tuning help needed

The information I provided about the vanes is about as much tuning help as I can provide without tuning it myself. If you want to haul it to Texas and leave it with me for a week or two, I'll be happy to see what I can come up with. If you aren't happy with it, I'll flash in any other file you have and not charge you anything, but I don't do remote tuning.

What is base supply pressure? What is supply pressure under load?
Boy Id love to be wrong again lol.. Ill have to check when I get it back.. DL thinks its fpr voltage settings incorrect..i would think a stock tune would haul ass with the combo and 60 plus % over sock injectors. they boasted that it runs "HARD" go take it for a spin.. Makes HUGE black clouds then cleans up and runs no stronger than my tt gt45 over stock LB7. It should spool up and roast the tires. needless to say i was NOT Impressed....

I have a shit tonn going on atm. We are buying a house. Took a while to find one.. Now we are packing and getting ready to move.. On top of that Both my other dmaxes have LRP codes.. Lol dually not happy to pull 44 foot 5th wheel .. servic truck is pissing fuel from some where in the valley.. trying to get those done after 3 hip surgerys is Fokked.. Yay (Sepsis) in jan put me down 6 months... Went from 238 lbs to 170 in a month....im back up to 218 ....I cant seem to get more than one solid day in and need 2 days rest =(

I see you guys been busy looking at my shit. I APPRECIATE ALL OF IT....... Ill be hit or miss to see what your guys thoughts are.. thanks again..
Maybe Next year I can finish the Camaro lol

Chevy... I can logg anything you want. I cant get the truck to anyone to tune it. Nobody here in utah That I can find.. well the guy I did is stringing me along now for about a month....and hes charging me 800 for ecm only. (Mr we fix starlites tunes all the time) lol...yes I put used nozzles that were supposedly tested on used injectors. after getting so much shit from everyone around me And running across some money I bought Bosch remans..


Anyone want to HALP I can b reached @ 405 824 8367 cell.

i fear logs might not get me enough info. Ill see if Steve is willing to look at it. To be honest though, if Josh is willing to look at it, id go to him in a heart beat. Josh has done some really cool things and fixed some very interesting problems before. i would bet he can lick the issue or atleast tell you where the issue is if its a hard part. im 50/50 from what im reading/seeing that its either tune or hard part combo issue.

so tuning is not my gig. I've got the burb w a 480sxe over a danville 63.5 BMW. 67% over lbz injectors on lmm electronics. twin pumps. I've paid danville to tune it and I've had idk how many revisions. it makes shit for power its laggy as Fook and smokes light black just lugging through town. this has been a shitshow for 4 years. it's never been right. at this point I need to just get it fo runs as good as it did stock and not smoke. I need to drive it 1k Mike round trip this weekend. can anyone for the love of haysoose please just help me make it run. send me a pm. I have a log I can post up shortly. thanks.

EDIT: umm how do I add a log file?
Ask Mark Broviak. If he can't get it, it can't be done.

Just FYI guys, due to the epa, danville is no longer tuning or building turbos... The powers that be pull the rug out from under mark, sadly. @MarkBroviak can probably answer more on this but thats why Danville is no longer a sponsor here.

you have a hard parts problem not tuning if you ask me.

It now hold 28 k rail pressure they said. so its not injectors? its not cp3s? sould not be fuel labs 200 pump. I need to see again but im pretty sure I ran 5/8 or 7/8 feed line to pump and from pump to cp3 off a sump....

Yes Broviak tuned it at least 8 revisions... Unfortunately he was very difficult to work with =( I could not get phone time and days to respond in an email was ver frustraiting and id get tune revision with "here ya go try this out" each time making less power. At least where its at now they have it pretty responsive in dsp1... when im done at this next place ill have spent about 1500 in tuning... the first tuner I dont think changed mt gear ratio from 373 to 456.. I have abs light and brake light on. I bet its the abs ecm speed correlation. ill check it when I get it back w Tec2win...

Soooo.... update. I got a call from the place its at. he said "its running good on tune 1". no smoke and responsive.. "come drive it, its fun now"... Im sad to report and happy too. dsp 1 is responsive but very light smoke in rvm... backing it in their stall i could see it wafting a black puff here and there no throttle added.. would not really do much when power braking it on the test drive. it did not change when switching dsp in that process. nor did it do anything wot moving down the road either.. he said "its showing in the pids as working" Asked me to come drive it in the morning cold.. So my test drive went like shit. maybe makes 500 rwhp..

Hes wondering what os the tcm is.. its locked by danville. it also downshifts to first VERY hard coming to a stop sometimes (50% of the time )and always has... Tuning????
Hes wondering if tcm is de-fuling it in a limp of some sort... This is a dual tank cab chassis tune...Also says they can do wierd shit... but tried a standard file..
To add to my misery my 07 dually pops a low rp code and limps pulling my 44 foot toy hauler. AND my 13 svc truck pulling my 66 chevelle I bought back from texas poped one too the last 100 miles about a year ago, and as of last week poped the return hose pissing diesel out of the valley... Im inn the process of doing 2 cp3s on 2 trucks right now. 13 is a conversion both have lift pumps. svc truck got a fuel labs on day 1.. dually got air dawg before i tried the trip because it popped the code last year omw back from the dunes ol

Not trying to be a dick. But you say everything mechanical is fine. You think it’s a tuning problem and multiple tuners can’t fix it. Tuning isn’t magic. A factory tune should be drivable with 67% injectors. The entire truck needs to be gone over.

Check for boost and exhaust leaks.
Make sure the turbos are good.
compression test just because.
Check to see if the injectors are leaking while cranking and the truck is disabled from starting

After that you’re left with fuel, if rail is holding the pumps are fine.
I’m still questioning the injectors, I would have them sent out. Hell for how much you have into retuning you could have almost bought another set.

Nothing really else to check unless I’m missing something. All of these things need to be checked, if they were checked a year or a month ago isn’t good enough for me they need to all be checked by one person to make sure nothing was overlooked.

Your not being a dick lol.. This tuner HAS made progress.. you see now he has it spooling like it should with just tuning alone. that log file dropping rail pressure? it was fixed with tuning allone
Check for boost and exhaust leaks. No leaks . checked and done
Make sure the turbos are good. Turbos are brand new
compression test just because. I have not bothered to test it because tuning has made changes that would not have changed had compression been wrong.. I built the engine my self. I gaped the zero gap rings myself. I have built many engines since i was 9 years old.. that being said I still aint perfect...The block work was done by the person that does all of some diesel performance vendor in calis work. Dont ase me to disclose I cant.. just know you cant get anyone better unless your a pro stock, nascar, top fuel team,,, It was hot honed line bored decked and had the highest skilled surface finish person with some of the most highly advanced equipment in the industry. There is a reason Socal uses them and nobody else lol =)

some of it. re read my ramblings.. its all in there.. not making consistent tire shredding power yet..Im going over w my laptop in the morning.. im gonna log it my self and post the file.. Any pid list preferred?
If i can get what fixed it Id love to post it. it would be nice for everyone reading to have this one in their tool box of W T F....

You should be able to flash in a 100% stock tcm tune. It’s not going to help shift points but it might clear up the down shifts, if it doesn’t, I know very well the ecm tuning can play havoc on that. Anthony fixed that in my old truck

You should be able to flash in a 100% stock tcm tune. It’s not going to help shift points but it might clear up the down shifts, if it doesn’t, I know very well the ecm tuning can play havoc on that. Anthony fixed that in my old truck
The custom tune I got from Danville did nothing to change anything. I tap shift this truck at 5200, Ironicly tapshift is not functioning now I put it in m and it changes nothing on the dic. I will diag it soon.. It does not wot high rpm shifts in tow haul nor normal..Im omw to the labritory now to go work with them on some of these issues

Interesting. Being a VGT I doubt there's much power to be made at 5200rpm compared to bringing the RPM back into a more reasonable range for that itty bitty turbine.
