i found these specs for a turbo for sale here in Mass for $500.....It's supposedly a GT42 that was rebuilt close to some GT47 specs:

T4 flange
88mm inducer
118mm extruder
5" compressor inlet
v-band compressor outlet
6 bolt down pipe flange
1.22 hot side

anyone here know Garrett turbos and can shed some light into how this might work as a secondary? I figure i might swap it for a t6 flange but other than that.....

glad to hear you got your tranny in and it's working out for you. I was at Foster's last sunday. I bought that 07 motor from him and will be storing it in an oil bath while i'm gone. i figure i can budget ahead and say that if i do most or all of the work myself with the help of RCS Diesel and this forum, I can achieve a very strong 1000+hp motor for under 20k. I know it's a ways out, and i'm not getting my hopes up too much, but i am planning ahead for it and getting things while they are cheap. i am looking forward to working with Big Dipper on the tranny, whether i keep the allison or go for the duraflite, when the time comes. i was thinking i might just put mild tranny and small twins on before i left and now that i have had to suddenly do some body work:mad: i am going to do that the way i really want it the first time and not do it twice. I want to be able to more than just build this truck too when i come home, so i am going to be bargain hunting a lot for the little things.

will be..:) thanks Vaz for your input...i think $500 is a pretty good price for this turbo so even if i have to have it modified later i might have what, $1000 into it total? that's not too bad i don't think for a Garrett.

OK guys. I will be doing a full revamp on my truck. Motor build, twins, dual cp3's, and trans. The question I have is can I run a S366/S488 combo with with T4 housings on both? The reason I want to run the T4 housing on the 488 is I want to go with a procharger eventually and I need a T4 housing so I can move it to the top charger.

Is that a good combo or is the bottom charger too big or top charger too small?

You could always run a t4 to t6 adapter when you change over.

That is a big turbo to begin with, wont I run out of room under the hood with that spacer?

Other than that will those turbos work well together? I was gonna run 1.1 and 1.32 A/R's respectively.
