So after i get my transmission rebuilt and do some other stuff i planned on doing a cheetah. But id like to hear some other ideas on what turbos would be good for me. I want a turbo that is good for a daily driver, isnt gonna put xcessive stress on my motor because i defintely dont wanna blow my motor right away(I know im playing with fire since i have an LBZ but i wanna go fast:D), and i need it to not be too expensive. Right around what a cheetah is maybe more if its worth it. If you have any suggestions can you explain why itd be good and how you think it compares to the cheetah. Thanks

Unless you must run in a stock charger class, the PPE GT4094 and HTT Promax are doing very well and they are in the same price range. Call me for a quote if interested.

But a GT4202 will rock your world.

GT4094 hands down the BEST turbo under a 2.8 Inducer. Righteyeblind and me just ran 12.30 and 12.32 i have yet to hear a cheetah with stock injectors run that. othrgrl ran a 12.36 IIRC with 90hp injectors. There is a lot left in this turbo for us. I can easily see low 12.2's with the 4094.

How is low end response with the 4094? Does the low end power have alot to do with tuning? Thanks.
tuning does play into it as well

depends on what turbing housign you get there are 4 to choose from.. .85, .95, 1.06 1.19 iirc

i plan on running a 4094 with a .85 and extranal waste gate useing the w/g to controll egt and keep it from over speeding at high rpms and have almost instant throttle repsone.. im going this route mainly due to how my truck is setup 3.73 with 35" tire 55mph is ~1400rpms. if i was running shorter tires i would run a looser a/r turbine housing

I run a 4094 with the 1.06 a/r on the turbine housing. Daily driving is great..spools quick, makes a shit ton of power. 39psi at 5000ft elevation 42psi at 500ft elevation. Definitly daily drivable and low egts.

IMHO the 4094 is great

Id say a Borg-Warner 366 from HTT or Bullseye. $1000 cheaper than a 4094, rebuildable & can have a bigger wheel installed down the road.

HTT Promax 66 5571 with stainless exhaust housing here. Spools quick and keeps me around 44psi. It seams to slean up any tune I can throw at it with a stock CP3 and injectors.

X2 on the Borg Warner...Airwerks turbos are amazing with the ETT wheels. i wouldn't be surprised if my S64x with a 1.00 A/R could make just as much power as a .95 A/R 4094, if not more, even with a smaller wheel.

I would argue a Industrial Injection silverbullet 66. handles every 4094 i have seen at the track quite easily. there aren't that many 66's around though. They are also quite a bit cheaper i believe.
