Specs: 02 CCSB 4x4 federal motor intake 4inch exhaust ppe tuner rest of engine is stock.
So during a marathon drive towing a trailer from southern Utah to Orlando and back my turbo shit the bed. Cold side looks good and spins fine but howling from hot side when it attempts to build boost.
Going to pull it this week. What I'm wondering is:
1. If the housing is ok is there a rebuild that will give me a little more oomph and longevity.
2. If housing is shot I was looking at aftermarket turbos in my price range (1200) and found the afe bladerunner. Has anyone ran this charger? It has good reviews for the Cummins but I can't find anything on the lb7.
If it woulda happened earlier I'd have jumped on a cheetah but I just put new shoes on her and redid my a/c so funds are tight.
