i just pulled the cover off of where the turbo lets back pressure out and capped it off so it forces to go through the turbo for faster spool up. will this hurt it in anyway?

Sorry I missed this. I'm a little unclear on your question. So you blocked off the internal waste gate? What turbo?
If you're saying you disabled the waste gate, then yes, it will hurt it...badly.
Are you talking about the resonator 
The black plastic piece on top of the motor that say's 6.6? If so it wont hurt anything.

Is this on the truck that is in your avatar picture? It looks like it has an 05-07 grille. Unless you changed it, you should have a variable vane turbo. If that is the case, I have no idea what you're talking about. There is nothing on those turbos that lets back pressure out other than the EGR valve. If you are talking about the plastic resonator, that will do absolutely nothing for performance.

thanks, thats my "Winter Stance" got the drop keys cranked up high as they can go...CV's are just a hair lower then level. truck itself is right abut level.. maybe .5" nose high

Yes you will be fine with capping the resonator.
