It is more fun this way.

Right on brother! It started on the INTERNET should end on the INTERNET! Hanging ones laundry out to dry allows the spectators to judge if it's dirty laundry or fresh washed with that all so familiar scent of clean sheets and pillow case when your mom changed your sheets long ago!

We all know the sewing circle buzz that runs under ground and the real truth that is never known unless it goes public! So I say lets those bloomers with or without fresh skid marks sway in the mid afternoon summer breeze!

To those critics who cry that we all know have subscribed with email notification run to the computer with their hot cup of coffee every morning with bated breath to see what is written next or by whom I say why didn't you just push the back arrow when you seen the direction the thread was going in , in your alleged drama free world ? You aint fooling me!

Post away bitches! :roflmao:

Thats about all he's got going for him charged me 525.00 for dsp5 tune and locked the tune so you can't make any changes or read it and they sucked big time. When called he told me it must be the 60% over injectors. Funny i had somone else tune it and they did a great job and i never got my 525 back.

I would not buy anything from this guy what a f***ing joke.

Sorry i had to let this one out

You paid $525 for a single tune from Nick @ DT? Hmmmm. Last i checked an ecm preloaded with a single was only 300, and a single efi live file was like 175, i should go check, i know it wasn't 525. DT's tune sucked big time, so you say. Whos tune blew that hole in the piston pictured in your avarar? I would like to steer clear of that one ya. DT also has a satifaction guarantee, so if you worked with them i highly doubt they would not have backed their product or refunded your money slick.

Why does anyone see a locked tune as being difficult, hello... its good business practice to protect your product/investment y'all, i would lock a tune i put my time into and was building a business off of, wouldn't you? Seriously.[/QUOTE]

Yes he got me for 525 for dsp5 tunes. Yes they felt like about maybe 500rwhp on a truck that should be around 600-650rwhp with the mods on it. So yes they sucked and I did tell him max efforts don’t hold anything back. As for the piston that’s nothing new when pushed hard enough on stock turbo stock injectors max effort tuning drive it like you stole it LMM. As for satisfaction guarantee I ordered and paid, 1 week went by still no tune so I called said he was a little behind and may take a few more days I said no big deal just checking. He seemed a little aggravated and 1 hour later I have the tune. So you know what that tells me, he threw some sh*t together and that's what I ended up with. Then when I called and asked about the lack of power and bucking at wot, I was told it may be too large of an injector mind you they are only 60% LBZ tips. He did tell me to get some logs but the tune was so under powered I wasn't going to waste my time or his so I chalked that one up as a loss and I tell everyone that ask me don't waste your money with him. As for locking a tune I can see if you the tuner put it on a dyno or a lot of seat time but to lock it over email that’s bullsh*t.

Sorry it may just be me, I know you can't please everyone Slick ;)

Not for nothing but don't they lock it to preserve just that in bold? I'd assume this guy Nick developed his tune or tunes through testing dyno seat time? Makes no difference to me just that your statement doesn't make sense. Plus this guy I think is the guy (Nick) with the famous slippers?

Well let me clear it up for you if your good at what you do, they will still come to have you tune there ecm/tcm. No need to lock it unless you have spent some dyno/track time with it then yes lock it because it is truly custom, Otherwise all you get is something that will get you close to where you need to be. So when you send someone a locked tune based off a truck that they the tuner may have dyno/track tuned with similar mods it is not custom it is a tune that gets you close so you the end user should be able to fine tune it to your desire instead of having to make phone call after calls and emails after emails of logs to get it better and then there are some that get the tunes and are happy right off the bat but may not know any better because they just came from a bullydog

Clear as mud to me

I've tuned a lot of trucks and at best you can only get close with a plug and play tune. All trucks are different some with the same mods can only need minor changes , however some need a whole lot!

The best tuner is only someone that actually gets in and custom tunes YOUR truck. Anything else is close and that's all!

I've had tunes from two different tuners and both times I was sent a basic tune to test and log. After a few logs and emails back and fourth I ended up with a refined more powerful version of the original version. It takes patients and effort from both the customer and the tuna. You as the customer must be willing to do what ever your asked if you want your truck to run it's best.

I understand what you are saying and what a pain in the ass and disadvantage it could be emailing back and forth . But looking at both sides of the fence this tuner gets you close then you fine tune it and feel its 100% yours you then give it to your buddy or sell it to your buddy he tweaks it to fit his needs does the same and low and behold potential customers are lost from someone else's work!

But you do pose a great argument as a locked 'close' tune doesn't fit your application. Your better fit with a tuner that comes to you and then it's gonna cost a pretty penny not $595.

It's a dog eat dog world out there with the Johnny come lately tuners. But I hear what your saying clear as mud!

I totally agree man, I was wanting to get mine custom tuned. But 750 for someone to fly down was alittle much for right now. So was a 14 hour drive to a guy, and so was the 3-4 month wait for another guys dyno+tune. I'm just gonna order a "close tune" and try the email back and fourth thing this time, only because the fella wants to lock the tune, but I've heard hes real good. It depends on the guy if its gonna be a huge pain or a little pain to send log after log in email. First tuner I had took foreverrrrrr, Trentnell was awesome at getting back to me asap, going out of his way a lot. He would be considered a little pain in the ass just because emailing for a tweak sucks.
