I had a feeling that would be the answer i would get. Had to ask though, just in case.

By the time you bought the equipment and learned how to use it you will have spent a lot more than the 65.00 for a new switch. Some things are not worth diagnosing.

Is it still acting up? Sometimes the T case in my 2001 will shift into neutral (after being in 4hi) and do weird things like what your saying.

Oh yeah. I just had to move it too clear the snow out of the driveway. Reverse still works good. The truck feels like its trying to creep forward in drive and then lets go at about 1800 rpm. I tried locking it in gear with efi live and it did the same thing. I brought up PID PNRD Gear Selector and it says unknown in everything from park to 1. PID PRNDSW-TFPSW stays at D2 and
PID PNRDSW-PNPSW stays at INGEAR. Would this point to a failed NSBU?

It has been limped but, probably in 5th. Very rare to limp 1st and not lose forward alltogether. Why was he able to pull into driveway in 4H if C1's are gone?
I will take your bet and raise you.

yes you are wrong, and if you read his post it has been limped.

I knew I screwed that one up:p. All I'm saying is his c1's or clutches for that matter, aren;t so bunrt up the trans wont move, because he said he drove up to his driveway. How could he have drove in 4 hi just fine? then switch to 2hi and all of sudden his trans wont get him up the drive. Also it would be limping, he says its not limping and no CEL. So something else screwy is going on.

I finally got a chance to pull the main harness connector and it does the same thing. And now when i try it, it doesn't even feel like its grabbing at all. It wont even hold the truck on a slope and it would right after it happened.

probably because you are in forced limp mode and stuck in 3rd gear.
