Since it was my only chance to get help I spent the morning getting it loaded onto my trailer. My truck barely fits because of the wheels wells and my traction bars hit the back of the trailer even with a dove tail so I had to jack the ass end up just to get it on there. I'm going to pull the PTO cover to verify here in a few.

Mine did same thing when t case let go. In my opinion your not making enough power to break input shaft, they are beefy. Unless your converter lockup is stupid hard or something else isn't right...

With PTO cover off, start truck, nothing turns I can see the teeth on the gear there. Same in drive.

At just a cnthair shy of 600 I shouldn't be able to break an input shaft but it's not impossible.

How much power are you making? I have seen them break at 600whp, but it's rare.

you would be surprised. GM has had a run of badly heat treated inputs and outputs. when they break, you can see that the heat treat never made it deep enough to work. 600 or close to it seems to find them quickly. atleast when they go, they dont destroy a trans along with it.

I have seen a broke input on a stock trans tune only truck. So there must be some weak ones out there
