been a while, not trying to hyjack, but now my oil light came on tonight. 150 miles on motor rebuild. how many quarts low before the oil light comes on? funny thing is i checked it today at 5 at the shop, after truck had sat for about 30 min and the dipstick read full. the drive home is only 2 miles max, and i just did some stuff with efi in my truck (11:00) and when i turned the key on my oil light came on. checked it and barely read on the dipstick.
i know my motor will use some oil for a little while, mainly concerned about how low it is since the light came on. im out of oil, so id have to go first thing in the morning to get some
