Dang man, I was in Guntersville. Could have gave you a tour of our shop and got some food. You prolly didn't have time for all that anyways.

Brought in 8640 tons of mixed goods via JBHunt to Barstow, CA this morning.
That's the equivalent weight to 65 loaded rail cars! Hope you made more than one trip lolBrought in 8640 tons of mixed goods via JBHunt to Barstow, CA this morning.
Railroad son. 8000 feet of fun.Doubt it lol

I was calculating based on the weight of the car & the freight(gross weight) is where I came up with 65-using the Ole "130 ton/loaded car..... 30 ton/empty method". Meaning you are correct if you hauled in 8460 tons of scrap not including the weight of the car.Railroad son. 8000 feet of fun.
Pretty close! 82 loads. straight 70 mph whole way here
Before I got a job with the RR I worked on the riverboats and people used to ask what we were hauling in the covered barges and I would tell them ping pong balls and straw hats!I think we had a few containers of pillows or feathers lol
Another crane
Too early of mpg reports.. Haven't had any decent runs yet..this one was to go to Bridgewater NJ ~600mile one way.. Customer changed delivery date on that crane.. So its back off and got another load for tomorrow....How are you liking the 19.5s? Any noticeable mileage improvement ?

Ride quality... Better than the 16s especially loaded.. Truck changes direction a lot better/quicker than before...and I need lest throttle to accelerate while moving...though they are taller when comparing worn out 235/85/16 to fresh 225/70/19.5.. And they will last a lot longer
Best example I can give.. Driving more like herding a truck with sloppy/loose steering then driving the truck with all new steering parts is about the closest I can compare 16LT tires to 19.5 commercial..
Side note I wanted to paint the steel wheels factory silver? Than light grey..
Had a customer with a 2012 cummins in the shop the other day. 386,000 on the odo.. He ran 19.5s for a while. Claimed 1mpg increase with them. However he couldn't keep the rear wheels on the truck.
