I'm not starting anything but read your first here. "i played stupid and said its been stock since ive had it". Do you not think that the dealers have axcess to the internet and read your profile? Just letting you know you can be watched anytime.

Sure anything is possible. But this dealer is acting shady to begin with, not saying two wrongs make a right but they said they fixed the oil leak my last trip in and it was valve cover gaskets, yet they never did replace them. I don't think it is head gasket either but I haven't looked at it. And I have never abused the truck and it has never ran more than stock boost.

Do a vin check here, it should show up. Trust me when I tell you this type of thing happens every day. :(

Great idea except I caught our dealership changeing the service history in the computer saying the injectors were done 3 times not 5 showed replaceing cups on all 8 cylinders then being told they NEVER replace cups if they don't come out of the head when they pull the injectors out. You can't trust these clowns. Only way we got warrantied was I kept all the recipts for the service done and the district service manager thought it was odd the system didn't agree with my paper work.

So your saying a dealership can go in and change anyones warranty records? If so, they surely cannot change GM's internal system.

Just called me back and said that my powertrain warranty is void, and they aren't gonna cover it, I asked him about the replacing the valve cover gaskets last time and he is now saying they never did, they just ordered the parts. Feeling pretty shitty right about now, but what can you do. I guess im gonna go pick up the truck and go from there.

So your just going to give up? Your not going to question why they order parts for a warranty issue and not install them? Your not going to call GM customer service? Your not going to do anything other than pick it up and take it in the shorts?

They are saying it wasn't the valve covers that are leaking, it is the head. It all seems very fishy i know. Im gonna go get the truck and look for myself and go from there.

man id be all over this. i was in the same situation when i was having injector issues. You gotta be armed with info and start firing back at these guys. they aint as smart as you think. Id call GM and get as far as you can with that and argue the point that things were said to be done and were not as well as if skidmax know for sure those head gaskets are not popped. you have a really good fight here that should make you the winner. dont let these guys win cause the next poor guy that comes in they are gunna try the same since they got away with it with you

perosnally id ask to see why they say its the head gasket and what justifys it. make them explain why they say that and see if it makes sense

How did they determine it is a bad head gasket? Did they perform a compression test? Seems odd they thought it was the valve cover leaking last time but never mentioned that it wasn't the valve cover it was the head gasket. Why did they wait until you brought it back now to tell you? If it was the head gasket it is not like it just stopped leaking and making noise when they "fixed" it the first time with a valve cover gasket. Call GM customer service right now man....this makes me mad and it isn't even my truck.:mad::mad:

Just called them and they said you can head it and see it blowing oil and thats how they determined head gasket and he said too much compression, i told him i dont know how thats possible but ok, then he tried to act like a nice guy cause he is covering my parking brake under warranty. Sounds like a shit diagnosis the first time.
