Mike-

I know Dextron 6 is a no-no, but aside from TranSyn, what should we use?...

Chris
I normaly use Kendal universal fluid in the shop and it has turned out to be damn good. Can't give you any specs on it but I use it where only synthetic is acceptable and it works. I like the Citgo Quatrsyn for full synthetic and have had good success especialy on Casper. You have all seen the crazy shit Pat has put Casper through and he has toasted 2 converters on the line without ever hurting anything in the Alli. That says something for this fluid. Made me a believer. TranSynd is great stuff but only available from Allison and I can't get it cheaper than 44.00 a gallon.
I know a lot of people have something against Hugo Chavez and won't use Citgo because of it. My take on this is twofold. I owe my customers the very best and I don't give a rats ass if the devil made the fluid; as long as it works. Second, the arabs financed 9/11 and no one seems to mid spending their money buying their shit.
Back on subject. Mobil 1 atf is great stuff and afordable.Fully Synthetic Dex 6 might be good stuff too. We know Amsoil is great stuff.

Damn. What can we buy in Canada that's available or comparable to that list? Guess I need to do some research when I get home.

I just got some Transynd for $37 a gallon at the local tractor place, only a little more than Dex 6 from the dealer

Under a big a$$ rock...
Mike, I have been putting Transyn in all the trannys that leave my garage so long as the customer is willing to pay for it. Otherwise we have put the Valvoline stuff in 2 of them.

What do you think are the pro's and con's to using the Transyn opposed to something else? I like the Transyn since its Allison approved...

Were is the Quadrasyn available?
