Here's the load I was talking about. This is with no airbags or anything but with WD bars.

My Buddies 05 was squatting pretty hard with our 262C2 SSL on it. 8,000lb skid steer. half of the problem is that the trailer is too short to get proper weight distribution, you can drive the SSL on or there isn't enough tongue weight and it sways badly above 45. His truck also has the T bars cranked up and we did have the backhoe in the bed.

Alright, thanks guys, I am gonna plan the route out tmmr and try to avoid any weigh station roads.

WD bars are mostly helpful in turning situations etc?

For the future, would be it more beneficial to upgrade the receiver or just get a gooseneck?

gooseneck hands down!!

I know that I shouldn't but I am worried about being hassled. Just trying to avoid all potential issues.

Gonna rotate the truck tires tmmr evening, got it detuned back to a level 1, and just gotta check the air filter.

Totally over thinking and over worrying about all this.

and yes you are :D but we got you :thumb:

just make sure you to got 4 point tie down
either pulling out like an "X" through the car or
DS of car to PS on trailer, PS car to DS on trailer on both the front and rear of the vehicles... straps will form a "X"

This trailer has the wheel net tie downs, prob do all four wheels of each car, then maybe a strap or two as back up.

if you got wheel nets... one on each corner and you will be fine no need for the others
all the major car haulers i pass run them now rarely do you see one with chains from the frame of the vehicle to the semi..

Yea they make life very very easy, only downside is with skinnys on the front the nets can deflate the tire easily if you are not careful :roflmao:

WD bars actually help put some of the trailer weight on the front axle or at least help keep the trailer from taking so much weight off the front axle. They make it not quite so bouncy.

Alright, thanks a lot guys, lots of good help :thumb:

Price wise, seems logical to get a B&W gooseneck vs a class IV/V hitch.

You need both if you are serious about towing and hauling.. Tow beasts don't cost to much it been several years since I baught one, and a good b&w flipper is nice the 5th wheel attachment is a bit cumbersome but very useful

W/D bars work as a lever. As the truck squats the bars pull back up adding weight to the steer axle

I would just strictly use a gooseneck if I am towing two cars. The guy I borrow the trailer from has this one, and two goosenecks; a three car wedge and a two car equipment one.

Only would use the bumper hitch for towing a single car, IE mine, around town etc.

Considering your truck is not level and the amount of weight you're talking about, I think you'll be okay. I don't see the front of the truck going up excessively or the back of the truck dropping excessively.
Please post pics.
