2 weeks ago few friends and I went to ABQ, NM to run a diesel event, I drove the cruze and he towed his 1100hp 6.4 cummins to the event, I bracket raced(lame) the car and got a best ET of 17.49 @ 81ish @ 8000' DA

Went out to the track last night here and wanted to see the differences in bone stock form, results were different than I thought.

Best pass stock tune was 16.31@84 with a 2.18 60' @ 3100DA

added some HP and best et was 15.95 @ 87 with 2.49 60' :D:roflmao:

this little car is an absolute blast to drive back and forth to work. :woott:

3200 miles on the car, city driving, 40mpg avg, highway best I have gotten was when the chick was driving and got 58mpg.

I have car envy now. :(

Hopefully I can replace my 330k+ mile 02 Jetta TDI with a nice 2yo diesel cruze in a year or so. My TDI doesn't get the stellar mpg that most others get/claim. My last 3 tanks have been 39-38-37. Ugh.

I get 38-40 avg in town with my tdi, 50-52 on the highway. My gf has a cruze, she drives a lot nicer than I do and gets 35 in town & 45-48 highway.

the '12 gasser Cruze w/6sp stick I've been running around with has been in the 38 - 41 mpg range.

will be interesting to see what you are getting for mileage once the motor gets broken in...........

When we drove our Cruze TD to PHX and Tucson we got 45 hand calculated. I was going 80+ on the interstate again. I know if I was strokin it doing 65 on two lane highway or even 70 it would bust 50MPG

I love my cruze! Best I have gotten is 48 on the way to TS . But that is with my 30hp tune. Really want to see what it'll do at the track but I have never raced before.

thats the only reason im starting to tweak on mine. Get mileage up a bit more and get rid of the stupid dead pedal. The pedal is almost to the point of unsafe IMO

Bri I went to the strip with my Wife's TDI last week. The best I clicked off was a 16.033 at 89mph. I must return and best your time. Wanted to break into the 15s and probably could if I knew how to drive. Its a stick and for some reason I would never pay attention and launch at 4k RPM blasting through the tires through 1st and part of 2nd. I tried a 2nd gear launch but anybody who has one of these things knows how weird the clutch pedal is. Terrible pedal feel and cant feather the clutch right at all, ran a 19sec. The Cruze aftermarket is growing fast. I like how its not filled with part greenies, part weird VW people, part hypermilers and part diesel enthusiasts. You get flamed on the TDI sites enough times for wanting performance. Just wish the cruze offered a stick. Looks like Fleece is really into the little things.

So very true. I was just telling my wifey the other day it would suck to be trying to cross traffic and go for it during a short break in traffic only to loose a few seconds due to the damn pedal!!

Seems to be a theme. LMLs have a terrible dead pedal too.

Part of why I like a stick some days, push the pedal and go.
