Seems to be a theme. LMLs have a terrible dead pedal too.

Part of why I like a stick some days, push the pedal and go.

If it can be easily tuned out (which has been proven) it seems rediculous GM and their testing didn't see this as enough of an annoyance to fix it prior to production.

My best time stock tune was 16.3, I sprayed it to 15.9, limp mode on the way home, bunch of MAF codes.

I thought a manual TDI cruze could nto be bought in the US? also where is everyone getting the stock tune to modify? or can we download the stock tune with EFI Live?

Can't buy a TDI cruze anywhere, TDI is a VW trademark

Manual trans isn't available in US, not sure where thats hinted at in this thread. I wish you could buy one.

Atleast its not just a gm thing, my moms 14 tdi has horrible dead pedal/turbo lag. By the time you give it half throttle it spools and just spins the tires. Its definitely tricky trying to cross traffic and not be to slow from the dead pedal or just sit there and spin the tires lol.
