Well we went out and had a blast. Can't say I did so well with the truck. J.P. got his first personal best in his truck, no help from me. First pass was a flop, forgot to turn on lift pump. Second pass tires lit, I let off after going sideways, then back on tires smoked again.... Found out I was in two wheel drive.... third pass was a 12.65 at 111 with a 2.12 60ft. Sixth pass was not much better at 12.51 at 114 and a 8.1 1/8th and 1.91 60ft. Every other pass was met with disaster. 2.212 and higher 60fts, Tire spin, forgot something, too much boost off line...etc etc. I just did a horrible job. To make it all worse J.P. and I were the only diesels, besides one ford, and had to race amongst all the 6 and 7 second cars as well as rail cars.

We did have a great time and I have to give a huge thanks to J.P. for going all the way home to get his laptop so we could even put a far tune in my truck. I tried helping him but was not near the help he was to me..... Had we had more time, who knows what would have happened.

Something wierd, When I tried a really hard launch the truck would just sorta run out of fuel, not really defuel just run out of fuel. I had go off the line easier than normal. I didn't have a laptop to log and my bbl didn't log the correct pid's so????

Ya I had a great time regardless of how poorly my truck ran haha. If we had had more time I bet we both could have done alot better. My best was 14.04 which is alright I guess. Still haven't decided if I wanna keep
My bumpers or not. Thanks for the help on my tuning though mike. Wish I could have helped more but it was nice meeting you. Maybe next time you can get your truck in the 11s. I willl say your truck is very impressive. And the fact your still on the stock motor is even more impressive. Next time I want a ride in it though :D . Thanks again for the help with the tuning, even though it wasn't a great turnout it waS fun.

Um I'm pretty sure my mph was 95 or 96. It wasn't that great. I thought it pulled good down low too but I was hoppin and spinnin so bad that it really hurt my times. I like the tuning that you setup now. I think I should have let the trans relearn before I ran with the new tune becAuse it feels like it's about to just die on me. Oh well it's time for a rebuild anyways.

no, i didn't get to go :(.
after Daniel told me they were closing it and all the rain, my wife and I went to Brady to see her parents for Father's Day. glad yall had fun...sucks to hear about Stewart's car, but then again, i can't wait to see what he builds. :driving:
he has a Nova that he hasn't worked on in a while that looks pretty impressive. maybe he'll get that thing going sometime.

JP, did you get a chance to try out that tune I sent you?


Ya I was runnning it a few days before the track and its a really nice tune. Drives great in town. No smoke too. If im not mistaken I actually ran a 14.0_ with your tune in also. It felt really slow at first because of the way you have it tuned, then I stomped on it and realized that was a stupid assumption.

Cool. Sorry it couldn't get you a 13. If you have any logs from the track, I'll see if I can find any changes that can be made to help you get there.

What were your 60' times and 1/8 ET and trap speeds?

I'm not sure but I don't think he got a log. That tune of yours worked well I'm thinking, it did not slip his trans like the one tune I added a bit of fuel and boost to which slipped his trans... :eek: He had two tunes he said but I don't know which was adjusted :confused:. It was sorta hectic trying to get in a couple of runs before they closed the track. I think we only got to change tunes once per truck. I just can't remember though.

Josh we both changed our launch technique so much we are the reason we were not consistent.

No apology necessary man. I got front and rear replacement bumpers and a toolbox. My truck aint light. Thanks for the tune thugh I appreciate it.

Most of my 60's were 1.8s and 1.9s. I think the 14.0 was a 1.9. Ill have to post up the slips when I get a chance.
