Ive been in and around enough dodge trucks to agree that the truck itself is junk!
Cummins are great and many people out there dont even care how crappy the truck is because they only care that there is a cummins under the hood.
The DMAX is the diesel motor to have these days. It just doesnt get better. The DMAX is proving that it can go the distance, they make great power, get good mileage, and have few problems.
If you want a nice refined truck then the GM/Chevy is what you want.
If you want to be noisy, rough, and obnoxious then run the dodge.

In all seriousness i do own a dodge , but I needed a work truck and couldnt pass up a 02 truck for $2500 . certainly not my first choice but its nice not having to worry about it getting trashed on the work site

The way I interpreted the first post was that you were wanting to sell the dmax to buy a new dodge but now that it has been clarified what you want in mores posts I understand. If you are wanting to sell your truck to save some money and drive one of your dodges then by all means do it, no one will judge you for it. I think about selling my truck all the time, putting a nice chunk of change in my pocket and driving a hyundai but you don't see me posting about it.
