thinking about bigger turbo

I'm finally doin my motor build and currently have the garret 4094vvt and thinking about upgrading to one that hits a little harder this one just ain't doin it. Would do twins but want to still pull the truck this summer against my buddy in his class

HIs turbo is 3.0 but can plug it up to a 2.6 so I'd prob look so get one to stay in the 2.6 class

I love my II s366

X's 2. Mine isn't an ii. It's an HTT. But still.
My 366 was originally 66/71. But I had the exhaust housing enlarged. Now it's a 66/73. It hits hard when it spools, it spools quickly, drive pressure is good and it makes a good option to twin off of later if you wish to do so.

Sounds great also.

I'll prob still tow acassionally with it but will get by where is the best place to get the 475? And that 4202 what about towing with that? And where can I get it

How about his s464 kit he doesn't recommend any towing with the 475 any one run that setup?

464 is not going to be great for towing either...

if you want big power that hits hard a s475 or gtx4202r (billet, sexyness) is the route I would travel.

Several have towed with a 75mm charger without huge complaints, obviously it would not be as effiecient or user freindly as your current charger but it would sure would be fun when you unhook the trailer.

The S464 tows just fine , spools about like a S366 but its only a good choice as a stepping stone really , it serves a great purpose of getting guys into the S400 frame turbo and have a very flexible platform to move up in turbo size as the truck grows in power , but there are better turbo's of the same size if that is what you planned on staying with for the long haul .

billet s472. you could still tow a good amount of weight with it

What most of you guys are saying is true for the most part , but its impossible to state certain turbo's will be towing worthy or a good choice with out knowing more info from the OP. What torque converter is he running ? is he willing to change it if its too tight ? what elevation does he live or tow at ? what weight ? what is he willing to change in his driving style to accommodate a larger turbo ? What are his HP goals now and later on ? is a engine build in the future or is it staying stock ? What size injectors now and planned for later ?

i have the 3d ppe converter that came with the stage 5 kit, i live in new jersey and only tow from ny to delaware, weight i tow varieys from 4door 8foot bed to a car, i normally take it easy while towing but when unhooked my foot is always in it, hp goals are 650-750 thats bout it, engine build is now with rods pistions and valve springs injectors now are 45% plan on 60%
