So the wife tells me I'm stupid for doing all this stuff to my truck when my seats look like shit. "Nobody cares about your truck when you open up the doors and you have ripped seats"

Yes, my pliers have torn the hell out of my drivers side seat. I dont use it as a work truck anymore and was thinking of fixing them up. So, are there aftermarket seats that are not complete race seats or am I better looking for some good used ones somewhere? I have gray leather....

i'd say a set of katzkin leather covers (replaces your factory leather not just covers) would do the trick nicely. If you also have black in your interior, I might suggest a set of black and grey two-tone leather ones. Friend has them in his LMM and they look absolutely awesome!!

Mitch, :nopic:

I've heard lots about these covers but never seen them actually in a Dmax.

Not sure if you have leather or cloth but you can find just the new seat skin on ebay and unwrap yours and put the new ones on not that hard

Mitch my dad has a 04 lb7 ccsb That has a 06 hood and grill with a tuff country 4 inch lift. The truck came with vleather bench seats. He found bucket seats for the front. A center console. And a back seat then bought some Kat skin covers that are black on the outside with a charcoal grey color on the inside like you described. It looks bad ass. We did the seat covers areselves and it was very easy. I recomend Kat skins. They are expensive bought worth every penny IMHO

 That was actually her first comment. To make up for all I have been spending lately, I had to buy her a new dresser last weekend when we were in Omaha. It turned out the only dresser she liked had to come with a whole bedroom set. You could not get it seperate. Funny how that works, isnt it?
So after the dresser ordeal she told me I need to work on the interrior a little---and she didnt mean motor or tranny either. :D

Seats covers are held on by a plastic grove around the outside of the leather. Not hard to change at all the side arm will be the worst thing to get off. The is a ring inside the back that hold it on. If your changing it all then you could cut the back to find the ring easier.

like above, there is a plastic foldover clip that runs the length of the bottom of the seat back and then again in the seat bottom. the seat back one clips together front to back while the seat bottom folds and clips to the frame itself. then the seams/stitching is velcro to the seat padding. you have to work them good to remove or install them, but that is how it goes for a tight fit.
