It doesnt end, EVER, i guess the only true ending would be if you got out of the sport completely. There always more go fast parts to by, and more "industructable" parts to break. :D

Ya i bet not having my truck and spending lots of money or what seems to be no reason would piss me off till the truck started anyway:D

Naw, thats not it. But I actually like driving the Cav. Its a fun car.
This isnt like when I sold my first truck and had nasty withdrawals and HAD to find another one. This is just me being annoyed at the futility of it all.

Sorry I spouted off guys. I had talked to the sanatarian earlier in the day, and that upcoming cash outlay plus this is just starting to get to me. I wish I could build the engine to handle "anything", but I just cant. I appreciate all the "ideas", but I am to the point where I have to say no. It can overwhelm you very very quickly.

It doesnt end, EVER, i guess the only true ending would be if you got out of the sport completely. There always more go fast parts to by, and more "industructable" parts to break. :D
Ah, but to only have the "Unlimited Budget" to go along with that. :) .....and then I crashed back to reality.

Tom do i don't remember if you said but... Are you going to keep the HP the same as it was prior to the tear down?
I have to get to 590rw to have a chance to hit 11.99. I figure I was a legit 550 last year on the 12.28.

Well, just to update. Nothing new happening. Think Marine Blue valve covers/intake runners would look nice? Eh...I dunno. Got to get parts cleaning going....

Found a reputable shop locally who can rebuild/refresh my injectors, calibrate them and add a set of 30% tips for $1200. My mechanics at work HIGHLY recommend him, and the kid who bought my old truck runs his injectors and is very happy with them.

Havent heard anything about the crank/cam and pistons. Hope everything is going well.

Im in the same boat as Mafia when it comes to buying the rings (ugh), bearings and gaskets. Looks like I'll be "spreading the wealth" around when it comes to parts.

Yeah. Plan was to get to 590rw. That would give me a shot at an 11.99. Thats all I want.

Wow....great price on the machining. IIRC, keys are costing me $250, and delipping the pistons is $400.

I know Im bitching...but I always bitch when big money (to me at least) is involved. But thats the price we pay to go fast....its been said so many times it should be our mantra here.

Hell, just ask my wife about the septic system sometime. I could kill our County Health people for the BS Im getting...and I could have a REALLY nice built Dmax (like low-11s nice) for what Im having to spend on that Powered-Mound system. :(

You sure Tim? Lowest estimate is $13,750. Highest was $18,500....with a wonderful notation that Id lose two trees. (I dont damn-well think so!) 2 tanks with separate pump tank, 1050sq/ft drainfield. I think I could build a motor like Trent's for that....and we all know how he runs. :)

County refuses to explore any alternatives either....I'm trying to get an aerobic system with no pump installed. Same 2 tanks, with a siphon system instead of a pump (less maintenance) with a 850sq/ft drainfield for $13,500.

Oh yeah, the sanatarian that measured my yard was fired shorty after he did our system design, and I wasnt told I also have to use one of the county's "certified" installers, plus have an addendum to my deed were Im required to have a maintenance contract on the system, plus the permit costs (electrical and sanatary), etc, etc...none of which was explained to me.

Thats the BS Im putting up with. I had the opportunity to put in a standard system with a 1000 gal tank 10 years ago for $6k. Since then, the county changed their standards to try to eliminate these systems. Yes, I was an idiot. Go ahead and pile on...I deserve it.

just dont tell them about my custom septic system in my building.

I did find a floor drain in the middle of the building. City worker was passing by, couldnt tell me if it was a storm drain or sewer drain. I'm not taking it any further. It drains and thats all I need to know

I'm trying to stay totally off the grid

Luckily, we arent to portajohn territory yet. Ive already voiced my opinions to the Health Dept heads about not telling people what costs are involved. That is what Im most angry about. There should be a pamphlet or something outlining all thats involved.

I like the double meaning of "digging", too...

James, your secret is safe with me. :)

Can't believe you have to have a mound system for your residence:( Last one we had installed at a convenience store was 18k using their "certified installer"

Yep Chris...thats the way it is in our new "green" society. What really ticks me off is the "authorities" are not schooled on all the different type systems. Arent they supposed to be? They get one particular type in their heads, and thats all they promote. Lazy bastages.

Squeeky, Ive got a good grip. Im just being bitchy.

Mafia, the pistons are already at the shop. Thanks anyway.

Tom whats their reasoning for the system they want you to install? Our most exspensive system is a peat moss and we install it for around $11,000 and ususally make around $3,000 off it.
