I thought you had made your own downpipe?

I did, but it didnt quite fit. I have to figure out the front pipe connection again, as the way I had it wont work. No big deal, but I dont have the time or patience right now to figure it out. I want this pig to move under its own power this Sunday.

Yes, Paint...I put the stock turbo back on.....although Glen over at E.D. got me thinking about doing some tweaking to it....:)

Ok, at least ONE of my hairbrained ideas actually worked....my $13 preluber put in 10q with no issue. NO LEAKS from the motor either! I'll describe more in the tools section.

Drilled a 1/4"npt hole in the pass manifold for my pyro, too. Im going to save the 1/8" npt fitting in the drivers side for a drive pressure gauge.

All ready for tomorrow.

Truck is back together, except for bumper and grill.

Have to add coolant, then its "cross your fingers" time.

BBT was reborn at 7:40pm, 7/17/10 :)

No leaks, no weird sounds. Oil pressure is good, so is coolant temp.

Only issues are my old surge at idle (I think this tune doesnt have the fix in it) and the trans is kicking a P0727 code "Engine Speed No Signal".

Time to take her out for a drive.

Video?

Just took a 10 mile drive; took the kids for ice cream. Truck ran great!

Fixed the P0727. Speed sensor on top of trans came unplugged. Coolant finally bled out, too. Temp is fine. :thumb:

We'll see tomorrow if I screwed up a cup or headgasket if the cooling system stays pressured. (Yes, I am a paranoid skeptic )

Well, no indication of cup or headgasket failure, fuel system seems to have held its prime, no leaks, and oil/coolant levels are where they should be. :thumb:

All in all, it really was a fun project. Learned a heck of a lot, thats for sure.

Remember what I said about how small the Cav felt when I started driving it in Feb? The opposite was true yesterday...its amazing how big these trucks really are. The kids and I all commented on the drive on how "high up" we all felt.

Oh yeah, forgot to add....the "smiley face" is still there. :) I left it alone when I reinstalled that rocker arm assy. Gotta have all the good karma I can get.

Now I get to start reading in the tuning section to figure out how to tune these 30% injectors.
