I'm open to any criticism, I don't get but hurt easily, and yes...I am a young kid with some money. I am a :dr: tho, not gunna act like I'm not. I didn't even know a whole lot about my old 6.5. I've had gas trucks all my life. Ever since I got my license I've drivin gas trucks, and yes.....one car. But I dont mind to learn...I've done a few bolt ons to my little LMM but that's about it.
Anyway, I'm taking my truck to a local tuner, Jason Briggs in South Shore, KY to delete my DPF and CAT and see if he can flash an economy tune to my ECM. So the question is, IF he can delete my DPF and CAT, can I run my truck for a few days until I can get around to cutting out and replacing the DPF and CAT? or will I need to replace them with pipe as soon as he Deletes the DPF and CAT?

As far as Im concerned as long as he deletes the Cat and DPF in his tuning so it doesn't try to Regen on you, you should be fine. Make sure you do the tuning and delete at the same time. Then add the exhaust later.
And by "add the exhaust later" assuming you will cut the cat and DPF off and not replace it until later.

Yes get the tune(s) loaded and then cut the DOC and DPF off.
You said you would like to learn more about diesels. Lots of great info out there on the web but pick up a book on it you will learn a lot more with less half-truths.
A so called CAT on a Diesel is called a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)
A blocker plate is the hardware all you need. Just tell your tuner you are blocking EGR while you are at it.
You can get an emissions delete tune with the DPF still on the truck, but if you drive it for long, it will start to plug up and can cause all sorts of issues (and will ruin the DPF). It is best to remove the DPF as soon as possible after getting the tune.
