Well I should be starting to build my motor shortly. Had to find a machine shop that could do the work. Motor is going to have stock pistons that will be cut and caoted, carrillo rods, ARP head and main studs, Hamilton Valve Springs (rest of the head will be stock) 100 over Diesel Addiction injectors, Mitusa lift pump and Wicked Diesel lv 3 pump. Will have the stock turbo on her for some time but should make for a fun truck none the less.

Sounds like a good build. Should be interesting to see how well that much fuel works with a stock turbo.

Good luck with the build man, maybe keep a running tab on what everything sets you back if you don't mind too much for some of us who want to do a motor build

Yea the twins dual cp3 and the big Mitusa had to go. But I was able to get the smaller of the 2 pumps Opie sells. Don't think I will spray her at all. Not looking for a fast truck just something to last a long time. so far the price for everything has been alright just don't get the price of rods. I did call crower driect and they quoted me $200 less then Guy at SoCal but I'd rather buy from him and spend $200 more then buy from a company I will never deal with again. Shane was very helpful when I talked to him, got a laugh out of my injectors but I'm looking for low PW in all my tunes. I say I don't want more then 700hp but we all know how that goes. At one point Trent just wanted lower EGTs and look at him now LMAO. At least this way all I will need down the raod is a larger turbo(s). but until then 500hp will suit me just fine.

Down fall to ordering from Crower is you wont get a set anytime soon. Only way of getting a set is if there making a batch for Guy or Steve then you can slip a order in and get lucky if there doing them now if not you have to wait for when there making them.

Nice build sounds like something I would prolly do if I ever had to build mine.

You ever look around for like a used S400 turbo to throw on it for the time being? I would think there has to be some around for not to much

I'd like to get a nice S400. I spoke with Trent a while back about a nice little set up but it was either get the fuel system taken care of or a turbo. And I went with the injectors, WD pump and mitusa.

The Wicked Diesel CP3 is great, tuning it is a little different but i wouldn't know anything about tuning:D It should support those 100 overs.... I intend on going with 60 overs as for me 100's are not needed, camomax runs 60 overs and runs mid 10's

Running decent...got a knock/noise, though. Doesnt seem to be a build issue, because if it were, the engine should have blown up by now :(:eek:, maybe exhaust leak or injector. I'll figure it out.

I would pick some of the other actual-mechanic-guy's brains first before looking in my direction. Im just a garageDIYer. Honestly, if you follow Alldata's rebuild instructs, bag/document everything as you tear it down, and have a GOOD torque wrench that can do TTY bolts, rebuilding a Dmax is actually pretty straightforward....theres just a shitload of steps and a whole lot of stuff on that motor.
