My point of having a freezer is; if you have a problem valve that is sticking you put the valve body in the freezer for a few hours and then check that valve for sticking. If it's not stuck you will probably be ok. If it is stuck, there is no reason to install it in the trans as it will stick again.
I wasn't critisizing anyone, just sharing some tricks most trans guys have been using for years.

What are the threads on the end of the tool? So I can pick up a slide hammer that will work with it

Usually the local autozone/advance auto parts will "loan" you a slide hammer kit for a few bucks. At least around here they have them available :)

No luck on finding slide hammer, so I bought some all thread and a sleeve gunna make my own lol

Better make the sleeve comfortable. I've had some that took a lot of work with that tool. Did you order the new spring for the E shift valve too?

Took 3 hrs with tool but I think it's gunna work. I'm calling it a night I'll install in the am

Valvebodys back in, made it to the end of the drive and it stuck again.. Round 4!

Ok what's next? Dropped vb ran tool thru bore effortlessly, re installed, same thing.

If I let it set there with key off for awhile then go out start it up and put it in drive it will take off in 1st then you feel it jump Into neutral then it bangs into 4th?. Guess I'll drop pan and check trim valves

I know right?! Lol 6th time I've had vb out! Only codes it throwin is the p0872 and occasionally a p0847. I've got another 03 sittin here but I think it's in worse shape, it won't even move lol. I'm gunna swap some solenoids and pressure switch tonight after I get back from work.
