Yep my buddy has about 30 LB7 pistons and I have NO money at the moment, so it I could make it work????????? I'd do it!

My other thought is (since its just one piston,and only started in the piston lip maybe 1/4 inch or so) to dremmel it down in hopes of it stopping the crack and just putting her together! TRADE IN!
So before you tore it down to fix the head gaskets did you have any blow by? Just wondering if it has a hole/crack all the way through it or not. The way you described the crack on the lip just starting sounds like some mahle pistons I pulled out of my buddies 7.3l. 7 of the 8 had stress cracks on the lips working their way down to the bowl area but none went all the way through yet. Reason I pulled the engine was thought it was a head gasket and ended up being a cracked block.
There wasnt any blow by! And it only looks as though its at the lip. Started new thread. Dont want to hijack to bad here.
