Help: Tailgate handle replacement

Well I managed to break my tailgate handle today, where can I get a good replacement with the surround as well that's been gone for years.

I got a locking handle from amazon and the bezel came with it, if thats something you want.

If not LMC truck has everything.

i believe you can get them at auto zone for around $15. i bought mine from a dealer and payed way more

Two of the tabs broke on mine, so i drilled two holes in the bezel and slid two j nuts onto the metal of the tailgate under the bezel and screwed it on.

raymers method is a sure way of keeping that bastard on there, my taigate popped open and popped that bezel right out. 3rd one

I have the same issue. It fits snug and tight for the first week and then once the sun beats on it it gets really loose. Before you know it, its gone again. I went through 3

New bezels from the dealer have adhesive tape to hold them on, in addition to the clips. If you're breaking the bezels off just by opening your tailgate, then your handle is bent or worn out.

^^^ Yeah, I'd like to know as well. Mine is loose, too .

I will take a pic tonight, I just had it off because the damn little clips broke that hold the linkage on.

I kind of screwed up my holes but it still looks ok, nice and snug to the tailgate too. There are two existing
Holes under the bezel that I slid the speed nuts over. Both of my bezel clips are still on the top of the bezel, the bottom ones broke off is why I did it this way.
