I know it claims 2600 rpm but I was wondering how it will stall in 4 low. I need something with a high stall for my pulling truck.

4 lo second gear I could get around 1800rpms. You might want to look into a 1053 or one of their custom stalls like rob hall runs.

I have the precision sled puller and I can get around 2000rpms on the line out of it. But you will find that the higher the stall you run into lockup issues. I pay more attention to my egts than rpm and boost. If you can get 1000* on the line your Turbo will lite every time.

I just tried it in high and I can't get it to stall over 1600rpm without driving through the brakes. It currently has a percision converter in it. Im not sure any details on it because it came in the truck. The truck has a remote mounted S475 t6 1.32 ar housing. Up pipes, exhaust housing, and exhaust are all heat wrapped.

On edit
Forgot to say ignore my sig for this because it's a different truck. thanks

1056 is a pretty tight converter , or are your running a 1055 now ? and what boost are you hitting when it pulls through ?

I'm running a percision converter. I'm not sure on the details as it came in the truck when I bought it.

As far as boost I don't have a gauge in the truck yet. But I can say it pulled 4600 rpm all the way down the track in 3rd low yesterday 2 times. The truck in my sig with stock turbo will only pull about 3k rpm in 3rd gear

you need tires and or 4th gear...i switched to 35's went from 4,500rpm down to 3,700-3,800 ran 4th last pull of the year and dropped down to 3,100

Rich I'm not running those sweet racing slics anymore. it has a brand new set of 33x12.50 Baja claws on it now. It's hard enough to maneuver the truck around with those on it. I put the 35s off my other truck on it and it rubbed like crazy. I couldn't even turn 1/8 turn.

Sorry I saw the 1056 in your sig , have you tried kicking up to 4th gear ? seems like it would carry it if your that high in 3rd , and on the converter you will have to either start in a higher gear ( 2nd or 3rd ) or get a looser model , like a Precision Sled puller or Suncoast 1053 / 1055

Trent I'm pretty happy with the top end. The gear selection will take some test runs to see if it has the power to pull 4th. I haven't tried it yet. Coming out of the hole better is what I would like to improve upon. With the converter that's in there it will drive through the brakes at 1000rpm in 1st low.

I def understand that , like i said 3rd gear start would likely get you what your after , if that isnt enough then swap converter out .

I start in manually mode in third , when I leave the line , charger lights immediately and I lock the converter manually with bens controller . About mid track I am getting close to the rev limiter so I switch to 4th and she
Smooths on out for the rest of the run. It pulled 383ft last night in the 7500 street class. I was happy, I am with Trent , try bumping it into 4th

Sounds like you pulled decent then, what did you end up doing with the controller to make it work differently? I heard last night he went to NJ for the weekend.

This is what helped me getting off the line, I watched my egt's. I'm running a 1056 and thought for sure I needed a looser converter but with a 3rd gear start and me knowing now how to drive it everything is good. I will go to a looser converter if this one pooches but for now I think I'll leave it alone.

I run a custom 10531 and can stall to 3k or so in 3rd, i let the egts build up to 1000, then do the rest by ear and foot, even building up to 1000 for me, wont light the charger instantly, it takes a lot of practice when you get into really big singles.... I also use one of bens lock up switches and hit it and shift to 4th as soon as it lights.

The 1055 should work for you in 2nd or 3rd, i ran a 1055 with a gtx45 and it would light with ease on the line. It would be a lot more dependable, the more stall you have, the shorter they will last. My 1055 lasted all year last season.

X2 the first few times spooling my race truck this year ( 3.5" inducer high pressure ) it took quite a while , after some practice i probably cut the time in 1/2 , but that charger had to see at least 1400 deg or 3k + rpm and 1200 .
