stock turbo

ok so here goes guys,
most of you know we have a workstock pulling truck rules say turbo must be oem.

so what can i do to make it a little better? anything? i was thinkin about porting the exhaust side and yeah i know its still a stock turbo,but thats the rules,were all ready pushing 570 hp and im dont really think im going to gane that much but its worth a shot.

we have the one on the truck and one more lly and one lbz turbo i know some people have been taking the two and making one.

do they honestly check to see if an OEM turbo has actually been modified? or do they leave you alone if it looks stock?

pretty sure they just check the inlet and the look. At least that's what i've seen at tech.

they look and sometimes tech it,i dont want a bigger charger,i want it to be 2.5 legal,and i want it to pass B.O.B. rules. and it does say stock oem unmodified turbo.
but i dont think any one will say much if i just port it,but i know for sure as soon as we get danville/fleece to work on it,every one will know, so thats out of the ???? and i dont want to cheat

From talking to Loyd I gather it can't be touched really but they only tech if you start to dominate or put truck lengths on people pretty regularly. If that happens their rules allow for the techs be able to make you pull you turbo for inspection on the spot. We are and will continue to run an oem unmodified LLY charger,

i dont really need much to tell the truth,just a little more to help clean up the smoke,sounds like im stuck where im at,i mite try porting it,but thats about it.

that maybe true but i dont want to do that!

and nope we havent been pulling much this year,saving up to build a big motor and go 2.6

and im tryin to get back into dirt late model racing so i havent had much time to help with the truck this year

A couple trucks in WS got caught with illegal chargers last night & all it took was a visual external inspection to know they were cheating. They still couldn't beat Fryman though.
