Do yall normally launch the hell out of your trucks with as much boost as possible built? Kinda liked drag racing launch, or leave around 10psi and ease off the brakes while giving it throttle? Just curious

I hold the brakes and let it build some heat then I let of the brakes and get it rolling then hammer down as it goes to 2 gear.

Im gonna try and launch the ever living shit out of it tonight. I normally do the same as you. But the tires gotta grab some point, might as well get fast wheel speed asap. Thoughts?? Bad idea??

Haven't tried that yet. Anyone even able to get away with that with a stocker?

Yep. A couple weeks back there was an lmm dually running a 3rd gear start on a pretty tight track and it did awesome. 1st place i think. It had More than enough power to pull 3rd off the line.

How much boost can you really build before it drives through the brakes? I'm not sure if heat is really that important either. Stock turbos come on pretty hard and pretty quick. Every time I pulled workstock I throttled it untill it pushed through the brakes and then held er off the pin until I stopped moving or parts started falling off or both. That always worked out good for me :thumb:

I had issues with bouncing when I tried building boost with my stock turbo. I rolled out 25-30I feet and then pinned it. This weekend will be my first weekend trying to leave in 3rd3rd but Im not a workstock truck either.

I was going to try a 2nd gear start but didn't get it set up for tomorrows pull so I'll just pin it for the win:woott:How you guys running you tire pressure for loose tracks and hard tracks?

I may try 3rd gear sometime soon. But I don't think heat really matters with our small turbos either. I still like to stay boosted up for a few at the start though as a piece of mind.
