Anybody else see/have an issue with the stock IC boots delaminating? I blew a hole in my hot side boot, and this is what i found. Im glad that a piece didnt come loose and end up somewhere not needed lol. In one pic i removed the loose section so that it can be seen better.

Yep, I've seen it, but only on that one boot in the same spot. I've only seen it on aftermarket turbo/twin turbo trucks. I'm guessing the higher boost and heat is what is causing it. I replaced mine with a 5 ply 90 degree boot, and it held up just fine. Now I have an AFE tube with the straight boot at the intercooler. It's only a stock turbo, but I think it would be an improvement over stock with any kind of turbo setup.

Mine blew out along the length of it. I'll see if I can find a picture.

Yes I had three that looked just like that on my LMM with twins. They all blew to pieces, Same boot same thing. I found rubber from those boots caught in my intake heater grid:eek: Like Josh said I also put an AFE tube and boot on and it fixed my problem
