Yes, I just spoke to the head tech for BOB and they inadvertently posted the wrong rules... the rules for WS will be the same as last year - stock, unmodified oe chargers only.

Out in Colorado they went from 2.5" in work stock last year to bone stock or 2.3" I had a custom 2.5" GT4094 last year and apparently it upset some people when I put almost 30' on over 30 trucks at the ATS Diesel on the Mountain pull so they made the rules so I have to step up to 2.6". I guess running almost 600hp in WS may be pushing it a little

I don't even know if 600hp would cut it for the WS class down in Kentucky. Some of them trucks can jump up and almost hang with the 2.6 guys

You guys have much stronger WS trucks. Which brings up a point? What turbo can be used legally in WS with these rules? Because if there is a way to stay in WS I'd prefer to this year.

http://www.nspapulling.com/rules.asp

Here's what rules read.

- Turbocharger -
The turbocharger is limited to a 2.3-inch / 58.4mm inducer if it is an aftermarket
turbo charger or up to the factory size inducer compressor wheel that the truck came
from the factory with if it is an OEM turbo charger, no bushings, no tapered housings
are allowed. The compressor housing must protrude into the radius of the compressor wheel.
In simple terms the compressor wheel cannot be ‘clipped’ or notched to allow for an
oversized wheel that capitalizes on the inducer map width enhancement (MWE) groove.
A stock map width enhancement (MWE) groove is allowed. No MWE groove will be allowed
that has a width greater than 0.200 inch. All provisions allowing air to the wheel other
than via the bore and the MWE groove are prohibited. The turbo charger can be an after
market replacement of equal size but cannot have a larger inducer compressor wheel than
the 2.3-inch / 58.4mm inducer. If staged turbo chargers came factory equipped on the
engine then they will be allowed but the atmosphere turbo charger must fit with in
the allowable turbo specifications in the above paragraph.

You know it wont in Indiana!

PS These "STOCK" work stock rules are ASSININE! IE: Freaking Retarded! Work stock means its a working truck in relatively stock form, most are tuned, and some have upgraded turbos and other components to make there lives as tow rigs easier. If the guys that dont have upgraded turbos and other supporting components, knew how nice a well spec'd aftermarket turbo towed, theyd want an aftermarket turbo too. I understand limiting power in WS, but having ruling that is Stock un-modified defeats the purpose of WORK STOCK. If you want a "stock" turbo class, call it a "stock" turbo class, and while your at it tell em they cant run any tunning, or modded pumps, injectors, auxillary lift pumps, traction bars, or additional weight....

Work Stock should be a class that a person could build a hot all purpose street truck, that he can go race or sled pull on the weekends, and turn around and hook it up to the ole gooseneck and take the cows to market on Monday. That is the essence of work stock, and if a guy can build a 600-700 RWHP truck, thats still a DD and still gets used on the farm or jobsite then let him thats the point! Stop trying to squelch out what makes this sport fun as a participant and entertaining as a spectator, there is no place for a sore loser in this sport, its the guy that pulls it out the gate that people go home and tell there friends about, and then they come to the next pull, and then they go buy a truck so they can start pulling too!

But thats just my opinion... This link clarifys that http://www.dieselpowermag.com/featu...gmc_sierra_2500hd_600hp_work_truck/index.html

My thoughts exactly:thumb:

I think this is what the 2.6 class was intended for at first but it has gotten out of hand now, so there needs to be a class to replace it. This is why most of us got into diesels in the first plasce, because of there versitilety for being a work truck (which is why we bought them to start with) and a fun hot rod.

always start with putting your power to the ground then upgrade the turbo for more. My stock lly would run with modifyed chevy and dodge chargers
