So i said ufck it and I dropped my stocker off to get the 68mm wheel put in. He said couple days. So maybe Tuesday or Wednesday next week I will put it on. Gives me a few day to decide if I'm really going to sell parts or not.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it but The exhaust side of a 4094 is bigger also. Not sure what gains can be had with upgrading the compressor side to a 68mm and leaving the exhaust side stock.
Yea i knew the exhaust side is larger. I'm not really expecting any miracle from this, just figured I had the wheel, might as well put it to use. Not to mention the 11 blade stock wheel has almost no whistle to it, 6 blade 4094 wheel should sound decent. Never really could tell when it was in the 4094 because of the super scream from the turbine. Stock turbine is pretty quiet.
It will cause high EGT's without exhaust side mods. At least do fingers vanes...
Plus, a buch of guys snapped the shaft trying that...
How did they snap the shaft trying what I'm doing? The shaft is identical in a 4094 and you never hear of a snapped shaft in a 4094. Even when you hang a big 72mm wheel off one I have still never heard of a snapped shaft.
going to need to for that wedding !And not to mention, fingers vanes are like 500 bucks. The goal here is to put Money back into my pocket.
going to need to for that wedding !
Congrats by the way!:thumb:
Do some research or talk to the right people. Snapped shafts arent uncommon on modded stock chargers. The exhaust side of a 4094 is better balanced on the exhaust side vs the compressor side. I'm not a turbo guy so thats the best I can explain it...
Seems like you have no idea what you want to do hahahaGot my modded stocker in. Runs good! It's like stock but pulls harder. Granted I have dual c's and nozzles.
Maybe I'll get a twin kit/ single kit again or sell my truck.
