Stereo ???'s

I wouldn't ask any advice from someone who thinks that jl audio is the "best in the biz". While they are pretty good they are far from the best.

I am speaking from the marine industry aspect, not car audio. I know there are other brands for car audio but I am unfamiliar with them and of what quality their products are. Please elaborate...

And the advise I was offering was for install tech...

Leave the dynomat alone gut the stereo speakers amps etc and label wires. Get a d batt and pop ur speakers ( pos speak wire to batt ) they should suck in when you do this if I remember. Just come over with great beer I'd do it for fun. You have to pull it all a lot of guys sell trucks that had stereos but pull amps and replace with cheap shit (( I did on a trade in). Never buy used unless from a autophile Like I said b4 I almost bet I have the best sounding 05lly crew anywhere

JL audios hit . There a great bass speaker takes a lot abuse but they are pricey.

A huge part of a great sounding stereo is the install. A great install with average gear will sound better then an average install with great gear. Seeing as your truck is full of Dynamat i'd say you're off to a very good start. Have you thought about a center console sub install?

Make sure you get an amp that is 500rms and not 500 peak watts

I have a question for all of our friends in Arizona. You have made me revisit wanting to upgrade my Stock Bose system. Do any of you know of a high end quality professional shop in the Phonix area you could recommend?

I do also know a little about the stereo topic. Make sure you don't run bigger wires than the input is on your amp. It defeats the purpose to run a larger gauge wire and then have to trim it down to fit it in on the terminal block (s). Something else you may want to keep in mind, is running a capacitor. Typically, you want to run about a farad for about every 1000 watts. I know some companies make digital hybrid capacitors that you can run multiple amps off of, but typically cost a little more $$. Also, if you need just a single channel amp, check and see if the one you have is bridgeable (if it has more than one channel), chances are it probably is. I don't know everything about stereos, but this is just my :2cents: .

House of sound off rose garden and i17 do nice work. They originally put the system in my truck when my dad owned it.
