no trying to cause any problems... but that sure is an expensive package to go VVT. But no one can argue this will have some serious interest.

68mm Cheetah VNT Upgrade would be 2785.50 if you bought one today... That's not too bad for a turbo, an AlliLocker and a TurboBrake. That's cheaper than any other performance turbo that I know of..

So you can't buy a stand alone controller without buying a Cheetah?

I assume you need a core for the Cheetah

It is expensive but a 71.5 Cheetah on a LB7 would rip quick spool and big top end power.

The LB7 is a pita most of the turbo upgrades do not have quick enough response for me and with the IHI they are hard to twin

interesting another thing to play with, maybe a controller could be added to read drive pressure and boost pressure and limit the DP/Boost ratio lets say past X psi of boost... cause some people like to keep things turned all the way up :D and maybe a switch could be added to switch it to turbo brake mode to get the best of both worlds

edit, looking at the controller i do see lots o buttons on there... ooooh

Drive pressure will be an option as a limiter. It's set up like your boost table in EFILive..Our table has desired boost pressure on the X axis and RPM on the Y. Vane position is the variable. It's very easy to map out and there are modifiers to limit overall boost, min and max adjustment from the boost knob, etc...

It will be in a TurboBrake enclosure so the turbobrake mode is available on a switch. You also get the allilocker features activated on this as well.

That's a really cool option for people looking for something new for the LB7s. You always seem to come up with some new innovation. I think it's shops like yours that are helping the Duramax continually improve and evolve. :thumb:

I guess I need to get a LLY turbo

My neighbor has a LBZ with a turboback and I always love to hear the VGT as he drives off
