I guess i understand, and take stuff personal too. The reason i asked about the injectors, (sorry to go ot in this thread) is we have noticed huge power differences is timing changes with the different spray pattern. So if tuning changes werent made, then max power was not achieved, while running a stock pattern, it might have been because they dont seem to be as touchy with tuning. But i have not spent any time on an engine dyno, so really i dont know.
As far as the axles, i have no question in mind the design is better, and will hold up better. I also think if yukons were dual splined, they would have a totally different failure rate, but i have yet to break their good ones, ive beat the $hit out of them on our power tracks, but thats one thing we get lucky on, we dont have a lot of rough tracks.. but both of my good sets are twisted over a good revolution, so i took them out to get a new set, i think i should have just kept them in. They were once a good option with the warranty and all, but now you cant get the good ones.
On 2 occasions ive lifted my front wheels off the ground on an unlock, and they have held...
But then again, i havent neutral dropped mine, im sure that would give them hell
It's all good Rob. On the axles, my guy that was trashing them so easy was becuase he was running a 10.8:1 final drive on 900hp and it would throw parts almost every hook at the end of the track when the sled hit but it was impressive. Gearing helps with axle life forsure.
On the injectors, yes changing the tuning around to match the injector will get the best power for the combo but sometimes best power and engine life don't get along and I don't like crossing that line. I have done a ton of dyno tuning with the different nozzles and there are setups where they really shine and then some setups they absolutely suck unfortunately. All the puzzle pieces have to work together, one piece off and the whole thing looks like crap. Side note on the Kyle Mod truck, Tony and I get frustrated from the all the unhappy CIU customers wanting us to fix what he screwed up. It gets really old but is good for our businesses. Personally I'm glad he did it because now Tony and my guys have motivation to go out and get him on the track.
