To realize the reality of this hobby, you just have to look in the Sale area. When you start seeing "built motor for sale" or "parting out built truck" ads, you know it got too expensive and frustrating for yet another person.....

But asking about sponsors when you havent accomplished anything? Is that what its coming down to now?
Hell, why not just start up a gofundme begging page like all the other "I want it now but not have to pay for it" people?
Instead, how about being realistic on what you can afford in the first place? Have responsible goals for your truck based on what your budget can handle? Buy used parts? Do a lot of the work yourself?

Yup, kills me to no end, cause I have seen a guy get some parts and turbo stuff at price or free and the damn car has yet to even ****ing drive.

These days a ton of followers on social media is what will get you free stuff.

From your signature, its a pretty common setup, so I think its fair to say what he said is relevant. (not saying it was directed at you) You gotta spend money to make your build unique or pushing the limits to where a sponsor can get a lot of attention from your success.

Yea I'm talking about the insults I'm not asking anyone to give me a ****ing thing I wouldn't take a handout if it was offered. I specified already that if it came across like that, it wasn't my intention. I was curious how it worked and I got answers. I didn't ask some ****ing dickhead to insult me and insinuate things that are bullshit sorry I was serving my country instead of playing with my truck, I will not be insulted by anyone especially someone who doesn't know me and doesn't know what I've done. Again I would never except a ****ing handout from anyone not that a sponsorship is a handout anyway, but I had not the wildest dream that I was just gonna get a sponsor for shits and giggles either I simply wanted to know what one has to do to get one. And thank you to the people who are not douchebags who answered that question

He speaks his mind and its the truth. What is sponsorships? Donations lol. Most shops will give you parts at cost to help out but that's about it. Perfect example. Dmitri. Many sponsors. Truck gets attention WHEN running. But now look. This industry isn't big enough for the average build to get sponsors. It takes 1 of a kind or a company using your truck to show off there new part. That's about it. It would be different if you had a decent start. But we see many guys with huge goals until they see actual cost. Then they sell the truck a month later and move on to next hobby.

How about you just calm yourself down. Think anyone want's to sponsor an individual with an attitude like you carry, and could bring to the industry? You spent your own time serving, while others' spent their time building a truck. The world work's in different ways as I'm sure you know. :thumb:

Chill out buddy. Tom speaks the truth from being in the diesel game for 10 years. Go dump 25k in your truck, compete for a season or two, shake hands with some bigger names in the industry and then companies might notice you. Putting a shops name on your truck and getting parts at cost is not what most consider a sponsorship. There is a lot of work, $ and brown nosing that goes into it.

Like Toms sig says, this is not for the weak of heart or wallet!

Yea I totally understand that dude, it's the other shit he said and I am slowly settling myself down you just have to understand I don't take lightly to someone making the accusations that he did. It was uncalled for, I can get along with the devil and generally have a cool composure but I will not be belittled, insulted, or disrespected. I have been through to much and have to much shit on my plate to have patience for that. Other than that I'm not trying to start any drama I am not about that and I am not wanting a beef with anyone hopefully everyone can see where I am coming from and I apologize for getting so bent out of shape
