If it wouldn't have been for them trying to screw me out of another 10k six months after I left I wouldn't really care. I finished in 2010 and still hate that place. It was honestly a joke when I was there. Corinthian colleges ruined it.

I went in 07 before they changed alot of stuff. I learned alot bit nowhere near what I paid for it. Even if it was half price it would still be too expensive for what you get out of it.

I went to Laramie, loved Laramie but the town hates tech students. I loved Laramie and Wyoming in general and have been back a couple times since. Just not to tech, I don't want to go near that place again.

Yea I learned some, and got a piece of paper saying I know what I'm doing. But the whole tech experience was a joke. I'll put it this way,
If you have a ged and can get approved for some type of loan to pay the bill they will let you in. So you get a very large variety of people there. 50% didn't need to be there when I was there. I wouldn't want them anywhere near my rigs.

I took the diesel course and an elective of automotive. Wish I had done chassis fab instead because I would have maybe enjoyed my last 3 months there instead of having a melt down about once a week and walking out.

Tour the place before you go and if you can catch a few different guys off to the side and talk to the students and ask them about the place. Tell them to be honest and not say what they are told to say. I wish I had done that. It would have saved me about 40k

Thanks for the advise bro, I will take your advise and tour the place before I make a decision. I was thinking about going to uti but I was told uti was full of ****ing retards lol I would imagine most places are that way though

Honestly everywhere is full of dumbasses. It's all on how you take what's presented to you. There were quite a few military guys while I was there and I bet over 3/4 of them would tell you the same I'm telling you.

While your researching look up Corinthian college fraud about job placement and see how that makes you feel. Supposedly tech was a damn good school before bought out by a money hungry Corinthian.

I went in 99' before they expanded or any of that. I did benefit a lot from the Hyd and electrical class, the only phase that wasn't beneficial was the engines class. we called it "valve adjustment" phase. that's about all we did. the other three phases for me were pretty good. fuels/A/C training was good and have used the A/c training a lot.

I toured Laramie campus in 06 and talked to a few students...they said for what they were paying it was a joke so I said I didn't need to go. The diesel program at our community college is really good though is if I ever have the time and $$$ at the same time I'll be doing that but wouldn't waste my time with uti or wyotech.

And your right. The town of Laramie hates techers. Man you here alot of shit talking on them. 2.5 hrs away I here about

Right on I guess the only way to go at this point wi be to tour the campus and the light duty diesel class as well as the fab class and talk to guys there

Funny you say that, I had the exact same experience, the engine class was a complete joke. The hydraulics class was the best by far.
