Let's be reasonable here. When was the last time ANYBODY heard of a thermocouple coming apart? I've logged obver 2000°f on numerous TC's from numerous mfrs. In all of my years selling the SPA gauges I have had very few issues. The only common issue was years ago and that was the backlight failing. I continue to run a DG211 on my 2002 to this date.

When I received the email telling the story I was in Denver with Fleece. We both shook our heads and agreed this doesn't just happen. I'm not saying something was done wrong, but I am saying it's got to be tougher than hell to destroy a thermocouple mechanically as shown.

I think SPA stepping up and paying back the purchase price is above and beyond the call of duty.

Very few if any mfrs warranty consequential damages.

John, I have your lift pumps and billet pick up, Also ordered my SPA gauge through you. I will continue to use you for my truck as well as others but I can assure you that myself or anyone who asks me will not be buying anything from SPA again, what a different conversation this would have been if SPA would have gone the extra mile for Mr. Holmes. I'm sure you have taken care of a customer before to show good faith?? I know we didn't install that probe any different than we did mine or the others we have bought from you. Is this the thanks we get for spending almost $500 on a gauge??? I used to tell everyone how awesome my SPA gauge was and how clean it looked compared to a pod or monitor. As I said we will continue to purchase your products as they are top notch but as for SPA I'm done with them, I'm sure if it was a high profile drag race or pull truck SPA would have stepped up but I guess a plumber from Westport is a nobody and SPA would be out of business if they took partial responsibility for this?????? :roflmao:

SPA had to send Jeremy a probe because the one that came with the gauge didn't work, the probe that broke/exploded/melted was the one they sent him in the mail..................

Why is the probe bent?
Hmm, didn't see that on my phone, but it does look slightly bent. Odd.

^^ This. I'd never heard of one coming apart for any reason, even abused. Very strange, whatever the cause.
