I think its safe to say that you average thief doesnt know how to carefully "uninstall" a set of gauges.....sucks to hear man

Especially a set of gauges that requites a separate control box to operate.

Wow Ben, that just about takes it. Ive never had anything like this happen to me but I really wouldnt put it past a few of my friends. Hopefully this is the case and they are pulling you leg. It seems to obvious that if everything in the truck was left untouched, that has to be the only reasonable explantion. I mean, whoever did this, has a pretty good understanding of how a silverado functions if they could turn the dome light off fast enough for no one inside the house seeing it, and an obvious understanding of the gauges and how they were wired up. It is pretty creepy if this isnt the case though:confused:

Wow..I'm somewhat familiar with the area you live in and it seems far fetched that someone would do that.

My bet is it's one of your buddies screwing with you....

That sucks Ben:( Hopefully it is a buddy messing with you, But I personally doubt it. As far as shooting someone over some gauges I agree with you not worth it. That said, I would not hesitate to beat the ever loving sh!t out of anyone on MY property trying to steal from me:mad: Hope you get it figured out man...

that's crazy!! had to be someone very familiar with those exact gauges. I mean I'm pretty familiar with this stuff but I would have never known there was a control box under the dash for them. NUTS! I have Spek's and I'd be pissed too. Bitch's are HIGH $$$$

I had someone break into a customers truck once and stole all the change out of the ash tray. In the passenger seat was my laptop with V2 cable, my tech2 and my Snap On Solus Pro and there was a GPS and radar detector on the dash,,, I didn't know wither to be mad they broke in or happy they left all the expensive shit

It's someone that either needs gauges or knows what they're worth so they can sell them, and I bet they're into diesels too... That really sucks man!! but on the pos. side ad least they didnt tear up your truck getting them out
