Just keep the timing stock (basically 0 degrees, even less if you want) and ramp in as much fuel as you have the balls for. Keep in mind, excess fuel will create a LOT of heat, wash down your cylinder walls, and do all sorts of other wonderful things to your engine. Usually, any time you see black smoke, there is excess fuel.
And as many people have said, it doesn't help the reputation of diesels out any.
Any reason you wouldn't go with a clean, powerful tune and smoke the tires instead? That usually gets more attention, IMO, and doesn't make diesels look as bad.
