id just do a ported and polished stocker with a 75 on top. concidering how quick it lights on my rig with 37s and stock gearing, im damn happy about it. at 1500 rpm in 5th, i can hit 10psi with the roll of the throttle and no down shifting. on a stock truck, lag would be near non exsistant

What is the exhaust turbine wheels size of the ihi turbo? Is the tubro in the IHI stock twins using the 1.10 or 1.32 AR housing?

I did some digging and found this, let me know if they are the right numbers.
Stock IHI- compressor Inducer 59.9mm, exducer 82.0mm. Exhaust inducer 68.0mm exducer 61.1mm.
ATS 3000- Compressor wheel: 58mm inducer (2.3 in) ,83mm exducer Turbine wheel: 74mm inducer 65mm exducer

they use the t6 1.32 housing. tightening the housing to a 1.10 t6 (i didnt think they made another but guess so) would bring the 75 in sooner but i doubt you would notice much noticable gain from it. the goal is to get the charger in the valley to spool faster and keep power going till the big turbo can transistion in.

I would decide on a rwhp number then adjust your plans to that. If you just want 550-600hp I'm sure there are a ton of combos besides a stocker/475 that everyone uses. Yeah they spool fast but if you aren't concerned with 750-800hp why not find something even smaller that will spool even quicker and still get you to your goal.

I think it's a badass idea. 1) nobody has really messed with super snappy twin setups
2) I think an instantly spooling 550hp truck would be the tits on the street.

Yes I am wanting the 550-600HP level as my goal, but the amount of air that would be available would be good for around 750HP at the top of the turbo's game. The exhaust housing on the 72 vs 75 is the same, so the 75 will move more air, I don't think it will make much differents on spool timing if it is the 1.10 ar housing will it?

The jump from a 1.10 to a .90 was a pretty huge difference to me. I don't think the 1.10 with an 87mm turbine would be too much of a restriction with only 550-600hp worth of fuel being thrown at it. I'm 1:1 @ 600hp with a 72/83/.90 single

primary & atmospheric are the same thing
the exducer of a BW 71 & 75 are the same at 100.8mm
I dont know if the 87tw is even worth thinking of, never heard of anybody liking their spool & they cost alot more

Is that on the normal bw turbo? The one I have been looking at is from forced induction. Would you recommend just the normal 1.32 housing on the 96mm wheel, vs a 1.10, I am looking for help here, any and all thoughts are welcome. I have been thinking of using the 83mm wheel with a 1.10 ar, but that probably puts me in the same boat as the 96mm wheel with the 1.32 ar that I am trying to avoid.

Ya thats from the BW specs in the catalog
I would talk to Jose about the turbo choices they offer, I would like to try a 1.10 housing on my primary with a 96tw before I say its better than a box stock 1.32
if I was buying a primary I would tempted to try the 475/92 1st
