Im not sure about the NHRDA event. If the truck is running good and properly broken in and no issues possibly. Doubt Id be racing though, but then Id feel like a tool going to a track and not running.

It all depends.

Properly broke in LOL ask Dmitri about that IIRC he had 5 miles on his engine and he was out running 10.7's... Get the big tune loaded up you will have 2 weeks to get the rings seated and come out and run. I wouldn't pull the tranny and do shafts until you need them. We need a strong Duramax presence at this event as last year it was like 90% Cummins.

I didnt do all this crap to break 5 hours from home from a stupid input shaft. Its going to Mikes for a new TC and shafts and refresh before I go racing. If things go as planned today that could be later this week.... I have a few paid days off at work :D

Matt, I'm still running stock shafts in my truck. So far no problems running low 11s at 6800 lbs (knock on wood).

I agree with everyone else, I wouldnt worry about the stock shafts.

Also, I wouldnt worry about having mike refresh it. Your trans is fine, especially because mike built it. :) I have 130,000 miles on mine since I built it; 100's of 1/4 mile passes with decent power (107-108mph at 7,600lbs) and it still works flawlessly.
