Well right now I am just going to save for a while and buy whatever I need. I'm not going to lie I'm pretty new to the diesel industry and I'm pretty quick at learning things I used to live with a ase mechanic and he taught me alot about gas motors he is a transmission technician too and knows the Allison like the back of his hand he is the one who helped me build my trans. Anyways I don't really know too much about turbos but I understand how they work. I haven't been able to get ahold of Trent I'm sure he has been busy but I'm untreated if he can provide a whole kit! If I remember right the other Turbo that Trent's kit provides is a s475. Idk if that is same as a the gt4202. All I know is I need a Turbo to replace my stock one that will work with Trent's kit.

Sorry if you haven't been able to catch me , its been a crazy week, I believe I got your voice mail yesterday ( Friday ) been tied up this week trying to finish a big project , i will be returning my voice mails from Friday and Saturday first thing Monday morning . I have a stock turbo also to use with the twin kit if you still need one ?

The s475 and gr4202 install kits are the same if I remember right.

Well everything is loose except the dang manifold bolts they are on there good! I have been spraying them down and they still wont come loose! Not enough room for much leverage back there lol. And I can't get the downpipe all the way out with the rest of my exhaust in the way so I'm am working around it. Anyone got any ideas on how to get them manifold bolts out? O and the intake wheel is f#@ked so I am going to have to flush the ic and boost test it :banghead:

The downpipe still wont come out all the way! it hits the firewall. And im just taking my time taking it out cause its not like i have 3500 dollars floating around like everyone else. I got everything off except those bottom bolts on the up pipes and the coolant line underneath im going to try and get that after I can move it a little bit!

it comes out one way and one way only (unless you cut it). brian and i messed with mine for longer than we should have and finally got it out. take the tranny dip stick out (if you havnt) and grab yourself a BFH (big f'in hammer) and give it a few taps one way or the other. We had to keep massaging it back and forth to get it to come out. it will come out between the passenger side head and firewall. the part you unbolted from the turbo needs to pushed out from the bolts and then down and you also pull the bottom of the pipe toward the passenger side head as you do this. the bolted part of the pipe has to be below the turbo before you can get it out. Seems like the 01-02s have a tougher time comin out

Thanks i will try that tm when i get off work. There is no way that big a$$ pipe was coming out the drivers side for sure. And i was going to take the dipstick tube loose cause the bottom flange is catching on it. Thanks

Yeah i just yanked mine out. makes it easier. I assume you have your passenger side wheel liner out too? If you also unbolt the trans mount and put a jack under the t-case and lift as high as you can without smashing the electrical connectors it should help you some too. i didnt do it but of course i thought of that after the fact :D

I could unbolted the mount and let the trans down and I could get to them manifold bolts too with a 3ft ext. And a swivel socket. But thanks I will get back at it this weekend and try that thanks again
