We've touched bases on some of those TV shows (Men Soap Operas) the new one is Shipping Wars. Now the Moonshiners is done never did get down to the premise of that show and how he was able to do it and not get busted. Who drinks banana brandy but anyway,

Shipping Wars kind of out there BUT the first episode was a beat down for the Duramax Diesel. If you seen it there he was in a LB7 and sure nuff ,so he said,5 injectors took a dump on him. Talk about rubbing salt in the wounds! He kept driving it ,smoked like crazy sounded like crap too.

Anybody else see it?

I watched it and I can't believe he just kept driving and didn't fix it. And the other Chevy that followed him had injector problems too.

How about the guy with no tag on the trailer and wasn't even registered to tow commerically but kept going haha.

I missed that other truck going to have to watch it again. Ya that kid was stupid. He did wait for the documents although before he proceeded.

Then the guy with the Ford with the cracked wheel ,lucky bastard with those two boats ,35,000 pounds IIR.

I don't know we'll see how it plays out and see if its worth watching. So far not to bad.

Am I the only one that's getting tired of all these "reality shows".

No you're not ;)

No more "History" on the "History" channel. Just man reality soap operas that make the general human population look like complete idiots. I liked the history channel before all these stupid shows when I could actually learn something by watching it. Now I feel like my IQ drops every time I watch the history channel or discovery channel.

Discovery

please don't remind me... we have strayed so far off our original mission. But the man responsible for green lighting a lot of these shows is no longer with the company. As soon as the contracts run out... they will be gone. Discovery will be the documentary channel it once was.

I was speaking more of the genre of programs. I'm not a fan... everyone wanted to be Deadliest Catch. Thom Beers has tried to duplicate the success of DC, but hasn't really hit the mark, and then there's all the copycat shows.

They need to make a network for these programs. The Blood Sweat and Grease Channel.

Am I sick of these shows? Well thats a yes and no for me.

This one might be ok,Shipping Wars we'll see. Ya and for the Cow-Girl can't wait for her to get a 'load' :roflmao:

I like Deadliest Catch. Also Ax men and I agree the S&S crew are ridiculous but that Shelby guy, he's nuts! That tree he climbed,Oh My God! And he really messed up his helper!
I also like Swamp People. Another fav is Gold Rush.

What I don't care for is the Storage War spin offs, stupid. The original one not half bad they find some cool shit. Moonshine was a bust ,stupid really could have went without it.
Swamp Loggers,eh give and take. To much drama.

I do look forward to seeing Bering Sea Gold. I hope it's decent!

There are other shows I watch occasionally like the Survival shows,Myth Busters,Dirty Jobs and Storm Chasers.

Certainly there is staging and drama in all the above but there is a lot worse TV you could be watching. Reality shows are just that sometimes it's interesting to watch others. The pits of reality shows are like Jersey Shore. I could kick my kids butt when she has that on. That reality the world could do without.

I agree, jersey shore is as low as it gets. Id rather stare into a microwave for an hour than sit through that show, hell the microwave probably hurts your brain less too  . I like all the shows actually about something. Swamp loggers, swamp people, ax men and gold rush. Shelby on ax men just makes that show and troy on swamp people is a trip too "choot eem en da hed lizibet". Even though they're all staged to a point they're still interesting to watch
