My father in law bought a 86' 3/4 ton with a "built 327", he drove it a month fine, I took it for a drive after we lowered the lift from 8" to 5" and do what I do best, lost oil pressure at idle, started knocking, I spun the rod bearings in it, so I pulled the oil pan for him and found some Scott shop towels stuffed in the oil sump, new age internal oil filter I guess. Should have seen the lift too, wish I would have got pics.

Caleb did a set of LB7 injectors for us couple years ago and found a single piece of 2B limestone under the valve cover, laying off by itself in a corner of the head.

Lol, that's awesome, it's amazing the shit people do. I'm hard on shit but when I work on something I spend more time cleaning or triple checking myself then the actual work.

I half assed the boost gauge line and the junk bills intake on my old truck but it had no down time and I was always on the go.

That's the same leveling kit I just put in my super duty haha.

(Mini Pack's) I've used them in a couple Superdutys in the past, they actually hold up just fine, the U-bolts they send with the E-Bay ones are junk IMO though.

Got this awesome muffler delete into the shop today. To top it off I believe the guy was even a welder. Had a welding sticker on the side of it.

Just because you have a welder doesn't make you a welder, haha. I guess the same goes for anything. Just because you have a toolbox it doesn't make you a mechanic. Just because you have a bulldozer it doesn't make you a grader, etc. Wonder if this was one of those "that's close enough we'll caulk it" scenarios?

TX of course
The problem wasn't with the welder. The problem was he just didn't tighten those clamps enough maybe get out the 1/2 impact.
