I'd bet it woulda spooled just fine fer ya. Biggest reason being is you didn't change turbine size nor a/r. If you are running a cast 72 you may be better off upgrading to TCT or something(staying 72mm) rather than switching to another cast wheel, albeit bigger....

Dupicolor engine enamel with a coat of clear looks really good. It's also good for 500 degree's F.

I don't believe bullseye will just sell a double batmowheel or TCT wheel to drop in. I could be wrong though.

Even if they would the price is so ridiculous you could do a lot better for the money. Hell you could afford a complete nitrous system.

Well i figure I'm on a stock engine so there's no need to go fancy. The plain Jane s472 is plenty good for lots of destruction. It already spools extremely well also.

Bringing this back to life.

I picked up a billet 7 blade s480 wheel this week and have since dropped my turbo off at the shop to get reworked Into billet s480. Keeping the turbine side the same as it was, 83mm/.90ar.

He told me beginning of next week the turbo should be ready so hopefully Tuesday I can pick it up and install it. Excited to compare the billet 80mm wheel to the 72mm cast wheel.

That's an awfully small turbine wheel for an 80.

Yea I'm aware and know it is not ideal. But for now until the engine gets build and i can throw alot more fuel at it, also with a stock stall converter, I wanted to keep it pretty tight on the turbine side to keep the spool up reasonable. I will also be gating the turbo. Should be an interesting combo for now.

Unfortunately the track is closed for the season so my stock motor won't ever see an 11 because next time i go down the track in April when it opens, I sure as hell plan to have the new motor in:D

I'm not expecting g to even pick up any power gains right now and i dont really want to for fear of destruction. The 72mm cleaned up just about all the fuel I had on my 12.0 tune anyways.

Come spring time, an 87mm turbine will definitely be going in.
