No need to run a gate imo. You should go 87 instead of 83. My 83 gets kinda hot. I'm pretty sure the 87 runs cooler plus it's better if you ever wanna spray. I wish I woulda went with the 87:(

How about a .90; gated vs non gated?

I've daily driven a 75/87/.90 for over 2 years. The .9 is a bit tight for the DMax IMO. My cousin has a 72/87/1.0 on his and it makes boost much easier. It could be that his has 100s and mine 40s, but the turbo just seems to be more free, so to speak. No need for a gate.

Dont waste your money on an 83mm turbine. If you can, try to get the newest comp wheel technology. The TCT chargers from Bullseye are pretty impressive as a single. I've heard good things about the FMW Borg wheel as well.

How about an S480; it has a bigger outside diameter comp which makes it heavier and I imagine even slower spool, but anyone try it for a dd and no need for towing? Maybe an S480 with a BD Turbine diverter for DD on the street?

I know someone that runs a TCT S480 but its on a built engine truck with 100 overs. It lights quicker than my 475 with stock injectors did.
