I just bought Jason's old truck an decided to pull my boat to see how it would do. I was very surprised on how well it was. Boat is a 27ft rinker(pretty good size load). Def had to keep the rpm's up. I would like to ride in an auto with the same setup and see if it does as good. But overall the truck had zero issues with it

I drove my truck everyday this winter (except when my fuel gelled at 20 below 0) ice, snow, no issues at all. When I moved from barksdale to minot the truck/trailer gcvw was 27,000 lbs. I turned the T/H on and never once had to think about staying on top of the chargers, never had to force it to downshift to pass/climb a hill or anything. Never had to worry about my egts, the never got above 1250 lugging up a hill. This kit is still starving for fuel with 60 overs and 2 cp3s, I need at least 100 overs to think about using all the air. And I'm doing all this on a stock cam and basicly stock heads.

If you want a high hp truck that still drives and tows like stock when you want it compounds are the way to go

it doesn't spool too bad unless of course you hammer on it, then it's kind of a dog, but downshift and it's nice!

you ever get with Mike and get those tunes?

What fuel mods would be expected to have with 66/80 twins on stock bottom end?

that kit will run with anything from stock to 120 overs with dual CP3s. Stock lower I would leave the fuel system stock until you build it. If you have to replace injectors you can run 60 overs on a stock CP3, but you have to have someone smart tuning it

While I love the hit of a big single ever since putting a set of triples on a friends LBZ I've been hooked and sold the big charger in my twin kit to build a set.

i would love a set of triples but i cant aford them and to work on anything on the passenger side is impossible im either doing a s475 tct single or s366/s480 twins they come out to about the same price in the end

Take it for what it's worth because it's my oppinon but I think your putting the cart before the horse.Build the engine 1st and then look into turbos and fuel.If you but twins or a big single you may HAVE to build and or be looking for a used engine to build because yours has a new window I it.

I can tell you that a stocker/475 twin kit spools instantly at about any rpm and can make more then enough power to scatter a stock bottom end. I went mid 11's in the quarter and low 7's in the eigth with this setup and we were very conservative with the tuning. Had plenty left in it. Mine is practically smoke free all around too.

This debate can go on forever, truth of the matter is you'll be happy with most any popular charger setup. One thing I'm sure us big single and twin guys can agree on is more air is better regardless of how you get it. I do like the driveability and towing manners of a good set of twins but the hit you get from a big single is addicting, its a rush like the powerband on a two stroke dirtbike.
