So twins are harder on stock bottom end? I thought it was the other way around due to boost? I'm just wondering because I'm in the same boat as Brandon, do 66/80 on stock bottom end (hate vvts) or another big single.

Only harder if you get greedy with a lot of fueling down low. Not an issue at all with a good tuner

I don't get why you guys like all that lag before it lights

I like the power to be smooth and come on sooner, makes for a much better DD/ much better towing ability. I don't think about keeping on top of the turbo towing, and drove it all winter in the snow and never got pissed at it.

I didn't know Scott was making triples, that's BA!! If I went with twins I'd wait till this new kit comes out:D if not I'd do a single billet 72 or 75, much easier to work on things if needed..

That's one of the best things, They are simple, clean, easy to work on. Im not saying twins and triples don't have there place, but I think for the average guy that DOESNT tow a lot a single is the way to go. preferable a s400, depending on what one you use, they can be upgraded with a larger wheel, or twinned off of down the road if your needs change.

I wish I lived closer to everyone else, I bet I would change how people feel about big singles. Everyone who has ridden in the truck is always impresses with how smooth the power is. They do add some time working on it, but still better than a 6.4.
I think this is the only triple kit that Scott made. I do wish that I had a small S400 in the valley sometimes but I don't see me ever wanting more than a S472 in there

my billet s472 wasn't too laggy, most of that came from having to manually shift gears, I'd really like to ride in a 72-75mm with a built auto and see how it performs..I will probably end up towing some, I mean it's a truck and I don't want to put it totally out of commission when I have to hook up to a heavy trailer..I guess having the manual mode will help out with towing..

Also when people refer to the lag of a big single, It makes you think the truck is barely accelerating and just a sick slow lazy pig. In reality from a dead standstill if you just stab the throttle a truck with a big single takes off and accelerates pretty good. I pass cars at 55 mph and get around them with ease and the whole time I'm under the charger with very little boost. If I'm in a hurry to get around I bump it down to 4th and hope the tires dont break loose. I have a video on youtube that shows a 0-90 run I made looking at the tach and speedo. This run was from a stand still at idle, no brake boosting at all just stabbed the throttle. Keyword "LWATSON Duramax Billet S475".

but what about on a stock bottom end? If I buy a turbo(s) I won't use a vvt, never was crazy about them and would rather do away with..I've been searching for a twin setup that uses two fixed turbos but would still be nice for a stock bottom end with some fuel upgrades..
Bottom end will be fine with twins you just need to make sure the person tuning your truck knows what he's doing. Keep the bottom end torque in check and all is good.

Also just for info the video was made while on my daily driver tune, it wont hook up on the street when on the race tune. It fuels harder and spools a little quicker on the race tune.

Ive done a few 66/80 kits on lbz and they can be tuned to 650 hp pretty easy and live.
