Rough Idle with white smoke???

Balance rates
+-4 at idle in park
+-6 at idle (foot on brake) in drive.

If you're reading balance rates your way out of spec.

Thanks, and I apoligize in advance for my ignorance on the subject but I did not see anything that said specifically BALANCE RATES. I read what I thought you guys were refering to which said Injectors 1 through 8 with individual readings ranging from 5.8 to 6.9 at Idle in park and then from 7.2 to 8.3 in drive with foot on the brake. Is that right or am I missing something?:confused:

this is wht it looks like in efi notice 7-8 are high. the rest are real low

Truck still seems fine today but I turned the tuner off completly. The injector rates are averaging around PW 8.0ms at idle in gear with foot on the brake. Am I reading the right thing? And if so what should I do now?

i dont hink you reading injector rates :confused: it should be the only thing on the tuner tht has 1- 8 and should day inj with + or - i havent looked at ppe tuner in a while to telll u for shure

I'd have a hard time believing all the injectors are that far off. Have someone with efi or as Kat mentioned a tech 2 check balance rates.

Sounds like an injector is sticky at times. Run a bunch of power service or equivalent.

Power service? Is that an additive? I will check around tomorrow for some one with a tech 2 but I am thinking I will probably have to have the dealer check them if I can not get an accurate reading from my PPE. That sounds like a definite possibility since its so random a sticky injector makes sense. Would that also cause the exhaust note to change tones when its sitting there idling? Thanks.

Give us a rough idea where you are. Maybe someone will notice that you are close to them.
Load your truck year in your sig, It helps when trouble shooting.
Maybe someone could load a pic of their PPE showing the balance rates for you to compare. All I have is a predator and a quadzilla...:eek::rofl:

My ppe does not look anything like your predator display but I definetly appreciate you taking the time to post it. I will take a pic of the PPE display tomorrow and post it. Updated my sig and location.

Dumped 32oz's of power service in 20 or so gallons of diesel today and turned the tuner back up to LVL-9,. Seems fine now but I am still going to make an apointment to get my balance rates checked next week at the dealer.

I sold my PPE Hot+2 ET on here to a guy and when on the LBZ it reads the rates they way it should, When he went to read the lly would not do it all high numbers like you he call Dan and said that it will not read the rates on the LLY you need efi live or a tech2.
